Got an email for the R6050. Hope I get one!
I got the E-mail for the R6050 as well. I'm currently using an old Belkin N router, and I would love to compare the difference
This Netgear is going to be waaaaaaaaaaaaay better.
Also received the R6050 survey yesterday. I had been planning to step up to a new router soon since my current Netgear doesn't support gigabit LAN, so I'd like to check this one out versus spending a bit more on a Nighthawk or Black Knight.
Lots of routers/modems specifically for Comcast/Xfinity. Is their high speed service fundamentally different than other providers?
I got the R6050 in over the weekend and am going to be setting it up tonight. looks to be a solid system and I'll be comparing it against a UniFi setup and a WNDR3700 setup as well.
Does anyone know if people who respond to the offers are selected on a first come first serve basis, or is it a random drawing from people who respond?

Hey guys, we have a new opportunity for some ReadyNAS test units. For those of you who were bummed you didn't get to test the RN104, we have a small batch of ReadyNAS 312 and 314 that we want reviewed, and there's a little surprise that I'll tell you about next week.
For those that don't know, the ReadyNAS 312/314 is a business class NAS with more processing power.
We're really looking for reviewers that really understand how to get around a NAS. You know who you are. The RN104 was more of a consumer-grade solution.

Yes, it's something I've been building up for my home. I already have the kevo smart lock and want to add more security features on my network.
Those Arlo cameras sound pretty cool.
6 month battery is nice with the ability to easily move it around. I wonder what the optics range (zoom) on it is? How far could you place it from an object and still see the activity around it clearly?

still waiting on my shipping notification and hopefully i get the faster NAS as well. i am thinking the gui is more advanced than the 104...
Just posted review of the R6050. Very positive overall; only a few small oddities (references to an IPTV Streaming bypass for certain ports, but no config on this) and some solid improvements over the WNDR3700 that was my normal router previously.
If it helps, I do have experience with several types of NAS and SAN systems (FC and iSCSI SANs and several different types of NFS based systems) and run three different NAS systems at my house; a 64TB SuperMicro-based FreeNAS, a 36TB unRAID and a 4TB Drobo+DroboShare.
