These are down in South Texas (Yorktown and Cuero from what I've seen). They are not bad. Glad to hear it! We've been calling them mini-Buccees. My son loves them.

Peri Peri Chicken received their plumbing and gas permit. They are going in at 424 Northpoint Crossing (retail center with World of Beer). With the barber college opening, along with Smoosh Cookie, Moge Tee, and the planned Dash market, that center is finally starting to fill up.

Piri piri chicken. Similar name. Boneheads (the restaurant in question) lasted at least few years (about two and a half, which is more than what Fowl Digits/Sully's could claim) --it was decent food but always seemed to be empty.

It really is very similar to the Chicks we once had, with the exception of the food offerings. I have only been to the one in Port A that opened this past summer and it was very nice. If they do it right in BCS, it's going to take off.

Yeah, there are significant differences. Buccees is usually the lowest gas prices around. Go look on GasBuddy and you'll see The Texan's gas prices aren't remotely the cheapest in town. As a local, I'll likely never go in, especially since there are cheaper gas options and good food choices at Tower Point.

Levcor is also purchasing 29 acres from the City of College Station at Midtown Drive and Corporate Parkway for $9.36 million for commercial development. The sale goes before council later this week. This is the property next to Costco.

They are looking to make quite the splash in College Station. They already acquired the Texas Avenue Crossing development where Bed Bath and Beyond and brought in the Boot Barn and Total Wine. Do not know much about them though.

We ate at Kangi Sushi last evening in Lake Walk. Neat small atmosphere. Service was slow (as expected on first few nights). Sushi was fresh and good. Prices are not for every evening dining.

Chef Tai has a neat concept he is working on here. Glad to see more restaurants coming to the West side of Bryan.

The entertainment option looks like another movie theater. Someone needs to tell these developers we don't need more theaters. The current ones are getting more empty, and the one still to come to Bryan.

The city economic developer said that there were a few entertainment options interested but that it isn't finalized. I don't see it being a movie theater. Perhaps that K1 indoor racing that said that they are going to open a College Station location would be a good fit.
