These are down in South Texas (Yorktown and Cuero from what I've seen). They are not bad. Glad to hear it! We've been calling them mini-Buccees. My son loves them.FT2020 said:

People still think that Chicks got sued just because they had big stores with a mascot on the signage?ElephantRider said:They're going to get sued just because you said that. Peri Peri Chicken received their plumbing and gas permit. They are going in at 424 Northpoint Crossing (retail center with World of Beer). With the barber college opening, along with Smoosh Cookie, Moge Tee, and the planned Dash market, that center is finally starting to fill up.
Wasn't there a peri peri chicken place next to Razzoo's a few years ago that shut down pretty quickly?Captn_Ag05 said:

The best thing the city could do is to upzone that entire area and remove as many development hurtles as possible. parking requirements, height maximums, setbacks, floor-to-area ratios, etc. Once that's done, its only a matter of time before it's redeveloped.
The University Drive/Northgate area still struggles with high rent in so-called "walkable" areas (Northpoint Crossing, Century Square, etc.) without easy access to parking that the rest of the city gets.
I believe H-E-B's lease on the old Albertsons expires next year, though even if the city wants to market that as a grocery store again (they'll probably have to incentivize it), they need to re-configure Tarrow and Tarrow Street East to be two-way again.
