There is but everyone on the front of the HEB at tower point has been told their lease will not renew. Liquor store has already moved, and personally know classic cuts it having to move that leaves chef cho and anytime and am sure they are in the same boat.

The Visualization, Fine and Performing Arts Building will be huge for TAMU. We've lost a ton of students to UNT and tu over the years because we lacked any resemblance of an arts program.

Also long overdue for the Viz department which has been crushing it for years/decades.

As an engineer who loves getting all of the nicest and newest buildings on campus, I couldn't be excited for both of these and for the development of the arts on campus.

I don't think I saw this earlier on here, but Mamaka Bowls is opening in the old Fox & Hound shopping center that's been recently renovated. They're a smoothie bowl shop based out of Dallas and have three other shops in Waco, Ft Worth and Fayetteville.

Oooo good! I love that HEB. I live north of Bryan, but shop in towerpoint because they have a better selection than the Bryan stores, and their carts hold 2 kids (Holleman doesnt)

It needs it. That store has gotten really tight over last three years or so.

I was told Any Time was staying put- but who knows.

When I was a member of Any Time, the owner Steve said he and his partner were looking to add more locations in BCS, but the economy wasn't right.

Not sure if the new location is part of his expansion plan or he is planning on moving the HEB site. It is pretty tight in there.

I have no direct knowledge other that other tenants were told they would not be renewed. I suspect its a matter of keeping up with the Jone's (crossing) store.

It does. Glad they are able to see the BCS market will support larger stores. Not everybody seems to get that.

Now that Fritellas has closed, anybody know of a good Italian Place for takeout lasagna? We have tried Joe's... but anywhere else? Please don't say Olive Garden. That's never gonna happen for me.

We are there last weekend, maybe Friday night. There were only a few tables with customers there. Have not seen anything about them closing.

We like the lasagna at Paolas, it what my wife usually orders when we eat there. Flavors are great and portion is big. She does two meals out of it typically.

I'd try 1860 or Amico Nave.

I think their permit got suspended by the health department a few weeks ago according to KBTX. May be related.

We get the crab cakes and the 1860 chopped salad and the chocolate hazelnut cake and love all of them.

The gnocchi is also a favorite at our house.

I'll have to try the lasagna and report back

The food is good at 1860 Italia -- except for a weird, lumpy chicken marsala -- but we can't take the noise level. We were there once with only two tables being served and the echoes and clattering with its hard surfaces made it difficult for us to hear each other. Guess we're just too old!

Same. Been twice and won't go back until they get the noise under control.

On another note if anyone knows the original Fritella owner please ask them to put out a cookbook or at the very least publish their Marinara sauce recipe.

Mine is super similar. Look for a recipe for Sicilian style sauce and you'll get close

We always get 1860 to go. It's too dark and noisy for date night.

Getting a bumper crop of eggplant like never before, so going to try to replicate the Fritella eggplant parm recipe. Seems they sliced the eggplant super thin which I haven't seen much elsewhere.

Fairly thin, salt it lightly for about 30 minutes before you fry. Fry very hot in small batches.

Amico Nave, in our opinion, is one of the best and one serving feeds two. In house or delivery
