I wish Chubby's well. That location is the kiss of death for so many places. Hell I've already forgotten that kinda gourmet restaurant that used to be in that strip? I like the Middle East place and glad they're hanging on.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't take AMEX and Discover. AMEX in particular costs much more for the merchant to accept. Keeping costs low has convenience trade offs.

I've been wondering that myself. Even when they were working, the progress was painfully slow.lawless89 said:
There was dirt work being done for an apartment complex built on Harvey across from Koppe Bridge and Sawed Off Crossfit. They put up temporary fencing, a job site trailer, did a ton of clearing and dirt work and then everything stopped a few weeks ago. The pads have weeds growing everywhere and there is a huge stack of PVC in the corner. Looks like the job has been abandoned. Anyone know what's going on?
The waitress we had several times in Hempstead told us they were franchises. This was just after Brenham had closed and shortly after we heard one was coming to College Station.halibut sinclair said:
What's the Deal with all these Joe's Italian places? I see they are also in Madisonville, Conroe, Bellville, Victoria and other cities. Some have the same logo, others are different. The menus all look very similar. Same owners, franchises or what, I wonder?
Literally ordered dinner there online 10 minutes ago...guess I better find a way to cancel.trouble said:AG81 said:ratfacemcdougal said:

Less than a year. They haven't updated their social media/website yet though

That's a little misleading. It's not "bad for your car", just not the best for your car. Your car isn't all of the sudden going to crap out simply because you used Sam's gas.
