I had to look up Rian Johnson, his resume as a director isn't that impressive, how did he score this gig? He filmed Looper and that movie sucked IMO. He hasn't done much else according to Wiki.

Looper was one of those movies I liked a little better the second viewing. It's got more plot holes than any movie I can recall, but the feel of the movie is the best part about it. I love the montage in that film where they show JGL grow old over 30 years.

IMO, it's not even the time travel part that creates the biggest plot holes IE paradoxes and such. It's the premise that they have to send someone back to a specific location so another person can shoot them in the face. Why don't they just send them back under the polar ice or inside of an active volcano?

I thought the best thing about Looper was that "don't worry about the plot holes" was basically part of the plot.

Funny story: yesterday while in the security line I was next to some guy who believes Kathleen Kennedy is evil and has plans for some sort of coup to basically destroy Star Wars.

At this point why she would need to execute a coup I don't know...
