This is good. I'm looking forward to them ramping up the promotional and hype machine as we get closer to December. I hope they don't go cheap on marketing because I think they'll need to gin up a bit more excitement for this one than what was needed for TFA, for obvious reasons.

kind of don't understand the bladed weapons... most thugs\rebels have blasters and I doubt these red guys can block blaster bolts with those things since they're not Jedi.

Reading the bit on Rey and Luke gets me pretty damn excited for this movie. There is a lot of potential with this one.

Dude. Droids can't be taught to use the force. Grievous couldn't use the force.

The Legends material was specific that he was not Force sensitive and aside from a reference here or there, he hasn't been expanded in the new canon.

What is everyone's thoughts on the Porgs? Ewoks 2.0 or do you trust Rian Johnson?
In my opinion, the Ewoks themselves weren't the problem in RotJ. It was using them as a central part of the move to defeat Stormtroopers with rocks and sticks that was so bad. I'm not against introducing "cute" side characters (i.e. R2D2 or BB8) as comedic relief and to lighten up the movies.

Caretakers seems like they will be intelligent (they are wearing clothing, so they can craft and use tools) but probably have not achieved extra-planetary travel on their own?

I never said Grievous was a droid. The first poster I replied to mentioned the droids he had with him. My reply was about those droids, and about him.
