WOW just for the heck of it I logged on and got 8 tickets to the AMC IMAX at the Parks Mall in Arlington. So pumped! Especially because now I can relax and watch the internet blow up lol.

Was able to get six fantastic seats at the Chinese IMAX 2D for the afternoon of Saturday, December 16. Might be in College Station that weekend, though, so I got one backup for the night of Thursday, December 14 at The ArcLight in Hollywood. Literally only one seat left that night and I got it. Tickets aren't selling quite as fast as TFA, but they're certainly going quickly.

I've seen quite a few IMAX 2D showings listed. I'd say about half. A couple of theaters I've come across are literally rotating every other IMAX showing throughout the day between 2D and 3D. By Episode IX, we won't have to deal with 3D at all.

With no 7-ish non-3D XD showing on that Thursday night (don't want the keep the kids up late with school on Friday), I picked up tickets for the family on Friday at 7:15pm.

The 9:40pm XD showing on Thursday is pretty much sold out at Cinemark in B/CS.

I went with the Fan Event showing for $37.

Not really sure I see the value there for paying an extra $15, even with a free small popcorn, but we'll see.

I'm a little nervous because the tickets aren't in my AMC wallet yet but I assume they are just on overload and I'll get it eventually because I have a confirmation email from AMC theaters and my credit card was charged so I assume that's good.
