That's great. I wish 3D wasn't the standard for IMAX. I'll be seeing it in standard because of it.
My local Regal is showing all showtimes except the 6 / 7 pm IMAX showing. Assuming they will announce a double feature for that showing.
Cinemark app has all the showings listed, but aren't actually for purchase yet.

Officially no 2D IMAX in Houston. The old Silverado, now Regal, in Tomball has been converted to RPX.
Stay strong, people. If you like 3D, go for it, but if you don't, don't let yourself be pressured just to see it in IMAX.

Yep. We're doing 2D RPX. Still a huge screen.

Hm. Double feature at 3 pm in IMAX 3D, 6:00 in RPX 3D, 9:30 in IMAX 3D, or 10:00 in RPX 2D.
Decisions, decisions.
Right now, I'm leaning towards the RPX 3D at 6:00 pm. I think 6 hours might be a bit exhausting for the double feature, and I don't mind the 3D. I definitely want the premium format, and RPX I think is about the same size as the IMAX screen, if not a tiny bit smaller. But I don't know if I can wait till 9:30 for the second IMAX showing.

I'm shooting for Alamo Drafthouse opening night and then 2d IMAX on Friday.

My bad. I thought the Force was a fake power used to create a good story, not a yoga exercise.
At this point, I'm just trying to avoid falling into the Dork Side (pun intended).

I just don't want another "chosen one" scenario that we've seen in the PT and OT already. First it was Anakin, then it was Luke.
