A shame Lonnie isn't dominating summer league like Arinze Onuaku did. Then we would know he was going to be an elite player

You are a master deflector
I would love to watch a game with you as I think you chart it like it's baseball

I'm not the one making predictions on a guy's career based off a couple summer league games.
No you just crunch numbers
you haven't even seen this kid play

You are calling me a master deflector while also making things up to argue against them.

Good deal for Spurs on Bertans.

That's a good value on Bertans, provided he gets that 3pt% back up closer to 40% like it should be.

What the hell is going on up in this thread?
I think Mookie has been on a 10 day drunk and is crapping all over the Spurs first round draft choice after 2 summer league games.

Mookie does **** like this on multiple forums.

He's just an unfortunate combination of angry, misinformed, and not even slightly clever or funny.

Maybe the Pacers will try to get Kawhi back.

Apparently the Raptors are trying to get in on the Kawhi trade talks.

Not really interested in Derozan. Inefficient volume scorer. 3y83mm left.

I like Lowry, but he is on the downside of his career and is way overpaid. 2y64mm left

I think Ibaka could be a really good fit for Pop, but again 2y44mm is way too much for him.
Ulrich

Yeah, there's a reason the Raptors don't do much in the playoffs even in the east. Lowry and Ibaka are interesting, but not at the price.

Im still glad another team is throwing its hat in the ring though. The bigger the market gets the better.

I would have been down with a Sacramento trade before they used the #2 pick on someone other than Luka.

At this point if I were PATFO I'd look for 2020 picks and not this upcoming year. 2020 (I think) is the year that the age restriction is being lifted on the draft so you'd have the one and done players and that years high school seniors, so potentially a very deep draft. Having multiple picks in a draft with possibly two classes worth of kids in it seems more valuable than this next year.

Pau and Marc played a charity game in Spain.

That's not much that's newsworthy, unless you're into overanalyzing which American player Pau got to come to Spain and play on his team, and I'm referring to the one that could be an UFA next year, and not David Lee.

Again, it's of Stretch Armstrong type, but whatever...Tomball's Jimmy Butler rumors have to start somewhere.

From the Philly Inquirer
Quote:

The team is in talks with San Antonio to acquire the two-time all-star via a trade. The Sixers are confident that they can sway him to pick up his player option or re-sign with them via free agency next summer.

The Spurs keep trying to raise the ante for Leonard, saying that another team is offering more, according to sources.

The Sixers' most realistic package to submit to San Antonio could involve Dario Saric, Robert Covington and the Miami Heat's 2021 unprotected first-round pick. However, the Spurs want two players again, believed to be Saric and Covington and three future first-round picks.

So the Sixers will have to decide if they want to part with two more first-round picks or see if the Spurs will back off those demands.

Such a 'meh' deal. Would be upsetting if this is the best we could get for Kawhi.

Also the report of the Bertans signing appears to be premature.

Saric, RoCo, Fultz and the Miami first or no deal.

I think to get Fultz they'd have to give in on any hope for also getting a first round pick.

I actually think it's a fair deal that way anyway. Or at least better than anything else they could get.

If it came down to Fultz and one pick or no Fultz and three picks, I think I'd rather have the picks. Just not sold on Markelle as another combo guard.

The sixers will be one of the top teams for a long time even if Kawhi doesn't re-sign. I'm not too keen on two or three late first rounders. Even the Heat pick isn't all that great. Spolstra will always have a competitive team. Fultz could be really really good.

Agree. Sixers will be top 3 in the East for a good while probably. That's at best about the 23rd pick.

We don't need a bunch more 4 year projects that end up as role players other teams outbid you for. We need impact guys.

The fact that Steven Adams makes $25 million per season sums up how ridiculous the NBA is.

Having two first round picks could make it easier to move up in any those particular drafts.

Mostly I'm just not a Fultz fan. I wasn't that high on him last year as a prospect and he didn't look good in his limited action he did play this year. He certainly has plenty of time, but I wish he was either a true PG or a bigger wing.

This I firmly believe in, and is why I'm not ready to give up on Dejounte either.
Guitarsoup

Philly doesn't want to dump him because they think he is going to be fixed, too.

If Dejounte's shot comes around, Fultz/Murray would be a killer backcourt of the future. Go Huskies!

Saric/Bertans
LMA/Gay
RoCo/Beli
Green/Murray/Walker
Fultz/Mills/White

That's a pretty solid start. Get another post with the MLE next year. I assume we stretch Gasol next year. It would be a really tough defensive team for sure.

It shows that too many big men think they are guards, which drives up the value on guys who aren't super talented but roll hard, rebound, defend, and battle inside. See also: deandre, Capela.

2 year deal... I like Forbes and how he's worked hard to earn a spot, but I really don't understand why.
Ulrich
How long do you want to ignore this user?
As long as the price is right Forbes is fine as a deep bench guy who can get 10-12 points for himself against second units, shoot lights out from deep, and is acceptable on defense. You have to fill out the roster with something.

As long as they aren't giving him a Mills deal. On a per minute basis they are pretty similar players. Neither is worth 12 a year. I'd probably go 3-4 for Forbes and 5 for Mills.
Guitarsoup

I think Mills is worth about 7-8. 3-4 is right for Forbes.
