Dejounte literally just made an all-defensive team.
Murray made the team for his rebounding and steals. He's not a defensive stopper by any means . I was surprised that he made the all defensive team, honestly.

Would be nice if we could score Randall. Athletic wings are hard to come by.

Julius Randle is a PF/C, not a wing.

Agree that on-ball, Murray isn't there yet. He tries and he's got long arms, but he needs another 20 pounds and some seasoning to be a real stopper.

Agreed that Murray is not a lock down defender. But as was pointed out earlier, on a team who finished as one of the best defensive units last year (without Kawhi) we really do not need any more defensive specialists. This team needs scoring in a bad way.

I really think Rondo would be good for this team. Not as good as Tatum, obviously, but a lot easier to get. Get the ball out of the hands of Green/Murray.

Would much rather have Tyreke Evans than Rondo imo. But not sure the spurs would offer him the contract he wants and not a fan of his ability to stay on the court.

One of the reasons I want Rondo is that he may be able to teach Murray, Walker, et al a lot about the game especially if/when TP and Manu retire. I don't know if he's one of the guys who can teach or if controlling and seeing the court is something he feels more than knows though.

My guess is we won't see a trade with Kawhi until LeBron has made a decision. You would think the Lakers will let LeBron have a say in who he wants to play with, whether it be with Kawhi and/or George or their current roster.

This is a commonly believed idea but very false. Lebron even admitted he was not involved in the Kyrie trade.

George to stay in OKC, which puts when more pressure on the Lakers. They could have had pg last year but "knew" he would sign as a fa this year.

This year they know kahwi will sign next year, just like George.

Randle would pretty much have to agree, right? Not sure I'd want to be the replacement level player who blocked LeBron/Kawhi/Cousins and have to see 2 of the 3 at work every day.

According to Woj, the Spurs/Lakers talks haven't gained any traction. And LeBron might just be willing to sign with himself. I think Woj reported that before it was clear George was going to OKC though.

If the Lakers sign James and Cousins to one and one/one year deals, they could just wait for Kawhi next summer, taking away any leverage the Spurs might have for a trade. Maybe George signing in OKC really doesn't matter.
