Strange start to NBA season all around, but as long as we keep things close until Kawhi gets back I think we will be fine. I won't lie though, his injury is starting to make me nervous. GSG!

Have always been a huge Spurs fan...but screw Pop and his political BS..hope they loose every game.
And Pop is at least someone who is thoughtful and informed. It isn't like he is angry about Chainsaw AR-attachments.Obi Wan Ginobili said:hammerhead said:

God forbid someone has a different opinion. Just ignore his political views. He's entitled to think what he wants. Doesn't make him less of a human.

The San Antonio Spurs have had to survive without Kawhi Leonard this season, but head coach Gregg Popovich believes he will return to the court before long.
"He's gonna be back sooner rather than later," Popovich said Tuesday, per Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News.

Spurs undefeated when Lauvergne plays.
Well we haven't seen him much. But in the two games at the start of the year he showed something IMO. Very tough rebounder and decent touch from short range.Obi Wan Ginobili said:Ag Natural said:

I think you meant they are undefeated despite when Lauvergne plays.
I'm not a fan.
He's got lots of energy, which is a welcome site after watching Gasol wheeze his way up and down the court, but what I saw was a low-IQ big body who committed stupid fouls. Last night I saw a grown ass man get boxed out three times by Wesley Mathews, who is 6 inches shorter than him.Ag Natural said:Well we haven't seen him much. I've always liked the Spurs, but Pop needs to stick to basketball and basketball alone.hammerhead said:

When did we lose the ability to disagree about something? Why does it bother you so much that someone has a different opinion? When did America become so fragile that we can't even allow someone to speak their mind? In an interview the other day Pop said he gets lots of mail about his political opinions and he replies to all of them, whether for or against.Ag12thman said:I've always liked the Spurs, but Pop needs to stick to basketball and basketball alone.hammerhead said:

THIS X a million...I don't always agree with Pop, but that doesn't mean I have to shout down everything he says. People have different view points in this country, that will never change. If we treat one another with respect and have honest discourse then the country would be a lot less on edge about every little perceived slight.jteagle said:When did we lose the ability to disagree about something? I never said it bothered me that he has a different opinion. It bothers me that he's using his platform as an NBA head coach to talk politics. I can get that from Fox News or CNN anytime I want.jteagle said:When did we lose the ability to disagree about something? Why does it bother you so much that someone has a different opinion? Please show one example of Pop shouting down anyone's beliefs. Probably the most controversial opinion he has stated is that Trump didn't exhibit the qualities he thought our President should exhibit. He also said he hoped Trump would improve.CactusThomas said:Malcolm52 said:

Exactly! That's why a lot of us are wondering why pop always feels like he needs to shout down our beliefs.

Although Spurs superstar Kawhi Leonard has been relatively nonexistent as he rehabs his right quadriceps tendinopathy, one medical expert says fans should be "cautiously optimistic" that "The Klaw" could return sooner rather than later.
Express-News staff writer Tom Orsborn spoke with Sabrina Strickland, an orthopedic sports surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City about Leonard's return.
"I think he's going to be fine if they are truly saying what is wrong with him," said Strickland. "Usually, it's just a matter of doing the appropriate type of treatment to get better tissue in that area."
