The reason that I'm most upset about the Kawhi issue is that all of this could have been put to bed a long time ago by just coming out and saying, "I'm rehabbing in nyc till I'm 100%, I'm not abandoning my team, etc." Most fans would readily accept that and be ok and we'd move on to what can the Spurs do to get better next year when he's back. However, this constant silence and lack of communication has allowed these rumors to swirl and other teams are talking about trying to trade for him. It's an especially bad look since he's not with the team during the playoffs and since Pop's wife died.

What little has been said about it by the Spurs and the way they've handled it has been odd. Kawhi could have come out publicly and quashed all rumors but he hasn't. Maybe it's just not his personality but the silence from him has been damaging to himself and the Spurs reputation.
What Manu, Tony, and Pop have said about it publicly has not helped either side look better.
Something is not right here. One party or the other needs to step up and cover for the other. But since neither side has done so, people naturally take sides. Some decide that the 5 time champion organization with the best reputation in all of sports is not to blame. Others decide that Pop and the Spurs have gotten a little pompous with age and that Kawhi isn't to blame.
But you can't ignore everything that has and hasn't happened and just say no one is in the wrong here.

The Warriors are not scoring their typical high scoring this game and the Spurs are just not taking advantage of that. Just plenty of missed shots that has been a plagued for them all season.

I hate to blame officiating on the game and that's not the reason why the Spurs are losing but just call it fair.
