Manu looks dejected.

I'm convinced Patty has dirt on Pop. That's the only reasonable explanation for getting so much playing time. He's a liability on both ends now. They need to bench him for the rest of the series and give his time to Forbes.
At this point, Pop just needs to put lineups out there that are long and clan play defense because our offense is a lost cause.

Forbes is better, too.
Forbes is miles ahead of Mills defensively. I think that's why Pop even gives him playing time. And I feel like when Patty keeps the ball moving, it's just 'going through the motions' type of movement. It usually results into nothing.Ulrich said:Ulrich said:

I kind of thought that was reactive, but then I looked at their numbers expecting Mills to be way ahead, but they aren't conclusive either way. Mills gets more assists, Forbes shoots a little better, they actually score at about the same rate.
It's a trade-off. Forbes can create for himself and is more of a perimeter threat but Mills is better at keeping the ball moving.
White is probably not as good of a defender at the moment but with a little time I think he will be head one of the best defenders on the team.Enzo The Baker said:Forbes is miles ahead of Mills defensively. I really like White. But I would give the minutes to Forbes as he has had a lot more run with the team in the league.
Edit: I'm also not convinced White is a good enough defender to keep up.
I hope he gets a chance to show it next year.Enzo The Baker said:
I agree. I think he can turn into an excellent defender.

There was no Leonard in the locker room, either, where his teammates' views vary on the question of how challenging this has been. As Popovich has said all along, they need to keep playing with the assumption that Leonard is done for the season if only because that's the right psychological play. And sure enough, as forward Pau Gasol shared pregame, they haven't seen Leonard in weeks.

Agree to disagree. Mills gets beat virtually every time someone goes at him in every game.
I'm just commenting on what I see. To me, Forbes does a much better job than Mills with staying in front of his man. There have been so many times in games where a player easily gets by Mills to break down our defense.Ag Natural said:Enzo The Baker said:

Well Pop has praised Mills defense a couple of times. Comparing him to Forbes isn't even credible. Forbes is a very early work in progress. He's been benched several times for defensive mistakes and was totally out of the rotation for a good part of the season. I personally think it's worth the tradeoff since he can really score.
That's not what it really says. It just says that they will go hard after him, more than likely offering their two lottery picks this year and anyone else needed to get the trade done. It's still the Spurs' decision in the end.azulAg said:
Rumor says we losing kawhi to clippers ...

Typically, the twist in a TV series comes in the waning minutes of a finale. But on Saturday, Steve Kerr decided to deploy his first surprise playoff adjustment in the pilot of Spurs-Warriors: starting Andre Iguodala at point guard. The result: a five-man unit with no player shorter than 6-foot-6. By more or less erasing the position, Golden State produced an elongated lineup that suffocated the Spurs with their length from the get-go. Putting all of Golden State's most defensive-minded veterans in the game at the start re-engaged their effort (which had proved lackadaisical in the final stretch of the regular season) and fueled their commanding victory by prioritizing their physical superiority over the Spurs across the board. San Antonio barely had time to respond, and spoiler: It didn't have an answer.

Although that's what it seems like, I still l wouldn't close the door on him returning. $219 million is a lot to pass up.azulAg said:
So now that the spurs org and the city of SA have turned on kawhi I think it's safe to say he's gone ?
Ag Natural said:
I just don't see Kawhi leaving based on the current evidence. It is just as likely that the org finally resigned themselves to this season being lost and told him to just shut it down and come back next year. We the people don't have any intel.

The only part about why your assumption is not believable is how they have trashed him in public and hung him out to dry by leaking the fact that the Spurs team doctors cleared him. Something is not right. It does not pass the smell test. If you see smoke and it smells like a fire, it's not nothing.
If there was no significant beef, he would be on the sidelines and doing rehab in San Antonio. It's not like he lived in New York And just needed the comforts of home
