Walker looks better every game. He looks less frantic as he adjusts to the pace of the game and caliber of athletes, so he's more deliberate setting up his shot and does a better job of keeping his head up to see the open man and react to his defender. Better set up means a more balanced, controlled jumper with more space for a clean release. Better awareness means that when the defender over-commits to the jumper he can slide past for a running hook shot.
Metu played better defense today, though still very raw and Washington doesn't have any posts worth mentioning. Clanked a couple shots early but he has a nice touch around the rim... although again the competition wasn't great.

I actually noticed that Mussina was playing Bertans at the 3 in the playoffs after Pop went on leave. That lineup using LMA, Gay and Davis up front slowed the Warriors down a bit. The problem was no matter who the gaurds were the offense was bad. But this year, if Murray improves and someone (Walker, Green, White) steps up to be a viable 2 gaurd that would be a nice lineup. Very long on defense and stretchable on offense.
Because we still don't have a PG or anyone that can facilitate on the offense. Murray isn't the answer. He could be a solid 2 if he could develop a shot, but I doubt he ever is able to really be a solid creator for other players.

Let me guess, you thought Glen Rice, Jr was going to be amazing and Draymond Green would be out of the league based on summer league.
Lonnie has a couple years to work on his shot before we really know what we have. But as a raw athlete, he has the physical tools to be good. 6'5 with 6'10 wingspan and 40" max vertical at the NBA combine.
Dejounte hopefully takes a step forward, but while he is a great defender and rebounder, he hasn't shown an ability to consistently run the offense. Because of that, I think he is probably better off playing wing if he can develop a shot. This year we find out what he is made of. But his .265 from three last year was atrocious.
