And again, not a Cowboys fan, but have seen the Ags play enough afternoon games at that stadium to disgustingly laugh every time the sun is blinding players on the field.

If #1 can see the 3rd down pass in the 2nd quarter the Cowboys most likely have another 3 points and that last drive would have been a shot at OT instead.

Jerry is an idiot for not doing something about the sun.

Lol at fans blaming refs. This is a total team loss from owner/gm, all coaches, and players. Is it no wonder each year the Cowboys are the laughing stocks? Wow!

He's and idiot for having a stadium built with endzones East and West.

This game was lost in the first half by the offense. I'm out on K Moore. He's awful.

This, his offense sputters and doesn't surprise anyone with creativity. His players are poorly prepared as well.

It is clear to me that the team does not fear McCarthy as well as they commit the same boneheaded gaffes week in and out. The only difference between him and Garrett in that regard is the clapping. Obviously it is a culture problem because this is Jerry's team and not the head coaches he employs. The only time we saw anything different over the last 30 years was Parcells and Jimmy.

There's something to be said for acknowledging they deserved to lose, while also realizing the refs ****ed them on the last play. If he doesn't plot through Dak and sets the ball immediately he easily gets the spike off. That cost them a full 2 seconds.

If you're cutting it that close, maybe not the best play call?

Ref sprinted to the ball. Dak just didn't get him the ball.

Yep. It's a perfect visual metaphor for Jerry's hubris overshadowing and ruining the cowboys.

Same dude that ****ed them on the delay of game after the fake punt.

The fact is, they lost this game in the first quarter. The defensive holding on their last drive was bull***** I haven't seen that penalty all year and they decide to call it twice in the fourth quarter of a playoff game.

There was so much fail all around that it's impossible to place blame in one place.

I complete disagree, and so did Tony Romo on the broadcast. He said "You don't hand the ball to your center, you turn around and find the ref".

How did Dak and the linemen expect the ref to squeeze through and spot the ball in less than 2 seconds, after sprinting 25 yards? They weren't thinking, plain and simple. They were playing by the seat of their pants, and it cost them. They played undisciplined football all night. The last play was simply the tip of that iceberg.

The ref screwed them on the delay call. SF had time to sub, they were clearly satisfied with the personnel they had in, yet the ref stayed much longer than necessary. And it was a quick delay call relative to the leash SF got. But the last play was Dak dumbassery

Yeah, it was failed all around.

Fail to run it.
Fail to not call the unnecessary roughness on the tackle. We've seen pussier **** called all year all over the league.
Fail to not hand it to the ref.
Fail to spike it when it was clear it wouldn't even leave a second on the clock.

Just a perfect end to this season.

Trying to blame the refs is the one place you shouldn't be looking, though. The cowboys put the refs in bad situations with their idiotic and undisciplined play all night. Every crew is going to blow a few calls during the game. You can't blame the refs for the 8-10 PRE-SNAP penalties. You can't blame the refs for the cowboys trying to get way too cute after a fake punt, and then trying to sub 11 with 14 seconds left. You can't blame the refs for Dak running way too far with little time left. These are all stupid things that put everyone in bad situations, needlessly, that are more likely to blow up in your face than gain you anything positive.

That is on coaching and player execution in the end.

I thought it was actually a pretty nice play call. You get an easy 15-20 and get the bal snapped again. Dak just ran a little too far and failed to get the ball to the ref.

Trading 2 shots for 1 when you are within range at the 40 is a bad trade. Especially when SF was in poor position to defend anything deep up the middle

Yet we've successfully rushed the ball much of the season. We have an average OL, not the worst and not the best, but serviceable enough to not abandon the run in the first half of every physical game we play

Clean it up a bit, time to evaluate (both players and coaching) and get ready for next year. I wish I had more trust in Jerrah to do these things but I just don't.

Yeah, I would've been less inclined to be pissed if he threw it over the middle and allowed one of the receivers to try to make a play and in to the end zone.

I think it is exactly that which makes it a pretty stupid play call. You leave open the huge possibility that you don't get down the field, don't get set, and don't get the ball snapped in time. AT BEST- all of those stars align, and you get 1 shot at the end zone.

Rather than taking those precious seconds and running 2, possibly 3 plays, which are controlled, settled, and planned. No, instead the run puts your whole season on the results of a mad scramble and an ensuing desperation play.
I would argue that is a pretty stupid play call, all things considered.

Unfortunately , Pollard is likely gone and we are stuck with Zeke. Collins has not been the same since his hip injury. Tyron is broken down a ton. Williams is completely overwhelmed and led the league in penalties in spite of being benched for a month

They can't fix the whole OL in one offseason, but I think moving Collins down to LG would solidify the interior. I think you draft an OT early and hope Tyron, Steele and the draft pick can give you better play at OT.
