Mariners hit the cover off the ball and deserved to win.

With that said, I barely ever complain about the umpire, but the last 2 games behind home plate have been concerning. The rangers got screwed both times too.

Hopefully the roof is closed (we play better) and we have an umpire who isn't blind tonight.

Stepping out of the dugout earned it. That situation had died down and the mouthy coward set it off. He should be required to watch himself hide for 3 hours every night.

Laureano got plunked three times, twice in the last game. How did none of the Astro pitchers get anything? At least the guy who hit him the last time deserved at least a couple games. It wasn't a fastball and wasn't at his head, so nothing crazy, but the third time was obviously intentional and it led to the on field blowup.

yeah, the speed was slower, but that did not look like any sort of attempt at a slider. A pitcher will throw the occasional spinner that just doesn't ever snap or break and hits a batter, but that one actually moved like a fastball, just a slower one. It's like he was intending to hit him but his heart wasn't completely into burying a fastball into him as hard as he can throw it. So he took something off it. It was a bizarre pitch.

Odor's playing today and tomorrow no matter what.

The rangers always make sure to put him in the lineup against bad teams to give him every opportunity to succeed. If we face a nasty lefty like Kershaw, he's the first guy who will sit.

I've never seen a guy get so much favorable treatment with such bad results in a highly competitive industry where results matter. It doesn't make sense to me at all.


I don't watch Comedy Central anymore, but his at bats are a good substitute for it. I don't get mad anymore when he strikes out or fails, I just laugh because everyone in the world seems to expect his failure........ except for the rangers front office.

Minor is on a pitch count of around 75 pitches tonight. Not a good start that he threw a third of those in one inning. Will probably be a bullpen heavy game, which doesn't bode well for this offense.
