Blame me. After not watching for the last hour and a half, I flipped over right as they were changing to Estevez

Yes, it's really gotten that bad.
They should at least move him down in the order if the front office is making sure he's in the lineup.
Odor has had a hit in his last 2 games and has also had some pretty good ABs (working counts). Hopefully he's on the verge of getting hot.

Who are we going to trade away to try and sneak into the playoffs in this shortened season? I'm just wondering what the reward is for a move like that when the team isn't playing phenomenally.

Lets see how he does against real pitching.

They've won 3 series in a row and 8 of their last 10. Just looking at cheap ways to shore up some weaknesses (right handed bats and infield defense)
Odor had or is having relations with Grapes wifealvtimes said:gigem1223 said:Grapesoda2525 said:In fairness, the whole league is crushing Gray.gigem1223 said:

The reason I don't think they trade Lynn is this year is so weird. Only 60 games total. The pandemic could cause the season to be canceled any day now.alvtimes said:gigem1223 said:Ranger #007 said:

Flip this the other way and are the willing to flip L. Lynn for prospects???? Thats what Im worried about now. Lynn gets only 8 mil next yr...... if they flip him at deadline he better bring a top prospect SP and a top SS/bat in return.

I am amazed he never returned to the frat boys burning girl post he made.Danny Vermin said:

He's our Chris Davis. Apparently we owe him too much for 20-22 to tell him to go play abroad until he figures out how to hit a baseball again. Thankfully we have a buyout option in 23. Between Odor and Fielder we are literally flushing $18M straight down the toilet.gigem1223 said:South Platte said:Possibly so, but 3 year slumps are hard to dig out of.gigem1223 said:Grapesoda2525 said:I don't know why they keep hitting him 6th when he leaves at least 3-5 people on base per game.South Platte said:Can the DH be used to hit in place of a position player (Odor) and let our pitcher hit? I'll be the first to admit Rougie has been terrible but when his bat is hot he's one of the better 2B in baseball. Problem is when he's ice cold, he's the worst and that's usually all but 1 month of the season. However, in a shortened season a hot Rougie could make a huge difference to this line up. I'd continue to let him hit if he continues to produce and show signs of coming around, if he goes cold again be done with him. He has too much potential not too try imo.
I mean, I know what you're getting at, yet aren't they all one of the better players at their position during their hot flashes? Mario Mendoza went into the 1980 All-Star break with a .294 average. His problem is he coined the "Mendoza line" the year before and hit .194 after the All-Star break.Quote:

Whoa, where does that accusation come from?
True, he seems to be turning it around. Typically he'll stay hot for a couple weeks at least. Ride it out and then if/when he tanks again we can go a different route. We now have multiple 2B options if he is slumping: Solak, Dietrich and Santana.gigem1223 said:
I think most of us all agree on Odor. However, with hits in 5 of his last 6 games, now is not the time to bench him IMO. Like I said in my original post, if he goes cold get him out of the lineup.
I'm only going to comment on this once because I was called out and this isn't the time or the place for politics.xjrayx said:Danny Vermin said:

Padres are a sneaky team. They haven't won the NL west since 2006, but I like their lineup a lot better than ours. I'm not sure about their pitching, but I think they could be a tougher team then the Rockies.xjrayx said:
ahhhh, I gotcha man. Sorry to hear you are getting treated that way.
Anywho, let's bring this back to baseball like you said. Really hoping we can take at least 3 against the Padres this week. Schedule sets up nicely right now to stay competitive with the Padres series, and then the series against the Mariners. Here's to winning two more series in a row!

He has done better lately, but it's easy to hit home runs up in Coors field. Lets see if some of the results carry over tonight at home.powerbelly said:Sorry. Odor sucks.Grapesoda2525 said:You guys are the ones bringing politics to other forums.powerbelly said:He brings it on himself.xjrayx said:
