I feel like a lot of it is Prescott. He hasn't been quite the same QB since that calf injury.

Exactly my thoughts. I think he just can't plant and sling it accurately just yet. There may be more wrong than he wants to be out there and he's just trying to play through it. The schedule has been pretty weak as of late and the defense is playing well, so it hasn't been a major problem.Macarthur said:Ag12thman said:

Agree. He doesn't look 100% physically. You have to think that calf gets better this last month of the season.

Rams or cards in round 1 would be horrible.
Just get 3 or better. Anything else is gravy.

This! I think the inexperience of both the players and Kliff is starting to show. Between the Rams and the Cardinals, I would rather play the Cards.Infection_Ag11 said:Grapesoda2525 said:

The Cardinals have looked way worse than Dallas I've ether last several weeks, and Hopkins may not be back for the wild card round.

TB just lost Godwin for the year. Absolutely no sympathy for injuries or Covid losses for our competition. We've dealt with plenty of it ourselves all year... whatever makes our path to a Super Bowl easier is OK with me.

Indeed.
Random thought while watching raiders/browns. It's amazing to me how thin the line is in the NFL, when it comes to success. If the cowboys pull out the win against the raiders in OT, they are currently the 1 seed and complete control of their own destiny. Oh well, just win baby.

Learned that lesson quickly and permanently post Aikman!
It's the reason why I never hated Romo and won't be a Dak hater... we are dang lucky to have gotten both of them!

And this is why being a cowboy fan is hard now. 2 top 10 QBs in the league for over a decade. Won 3 playoff games total.
This is what a check-down looks like before he checks it down. Also when we say "heavily populated secondary", this is it. 7 dudes back vs 3 of yours. Check down frustrates everyone, but you have to do it here. pic.twitter.com/fb5rWAifem

So what's the solution? Start lining up heavy and punish with the run, or throw 5 WR sets to overload the zone? Seems like we should have adapted to this weeks ago. It's pretty much the game plan for crippling our offense for the last 6 weeks

The OLine play has been the most obvious difference between the early part of the season and now. I thought they were coming off the ball really well and then it all changed. I guess Smith's injury is part of it. Subbing in Mcgovern did happen right around the time they started struggling. Zeke got injured. Jarwin's loss had an impact. It's a lot of things.
The key is the outside blocking by WRs for TEs. Ours stink at this. New England and Green Bay come to mind as teams that are good at it.ChemAg15 said:
I'd be fine if we didn't run another WR screen for the rest of the season. I don't think there's ever been a championship team that used the WR screen as a staple of its offense.
(This is hyperbole. Feel free to explain how elite teams use this play effectively.)
For that matter, the jet sweeps work pretty well. He's carried the ball 8 times and gotten a 1st down 4 times. One went for 33 yds.jr15aggie said:
I'd rather put Lamb in motion and do a quick swing pass to him instead of the WR screen. Let him catch the ball in the flats already running at half speed and see what he can do with it.
I hope Goodwin makes a full recovery for next year, but I'm glad to see other competitors have some bad luck with injuries / covid. It seems like the cowboys have cornered the market on bad injury luck in the last few years.jr15aggie said:
