So I got this game today. What's the fastest way to level up and start doing some of these raids? Right now I'm just doing the story missions, occasionally repeating them for more xp.

Do the story missions and strikes. Unless you get lucky, you'll probably end up buying gear from the quartermasters in the tower. Find a group to raid with and they can carry you through until you get some raid gear.

It's a lot of grinding but you'll get there.

Don't mean to **** on the party but the lack of a new raid at the release of this DLC just became the death knell for at least half of the remaining community.

The raid will be a part of the Comet expansion pack and will be either $40 or a full $60.

Yeah, I saw the official clarification post from Bungie and realized that there won't be a raid at all as part of HoW, not just a part that's released later. Pretty much gave us all the finger.

It will depend on what else there is with it. If it comes with another class or something major, then I don't see why not. I think the raids are cool, but they require getting 6 people together and that isn't something that happens much considering I'm not off during the weekend.

I was playing the raids last night with some LFG peeps and one person kept insisting that a person has a higher chance to get an exotic from nightfall if you do the weekly heroic first. Has anyone heard or tried this? I'm still without a ghallahorn so will be trying this Tuesday.
