I may be looking to raid on normal again tonight with my warlock
I know I want to do some raiding this week. The wife will be out of town for the next 2 weeks, so I'll finally have a little bit of time to try doing some raids.
Any idea what time the DLC will be available for download?

We are looking for 3 other members to join us for a completely Blind Run at the new raid on WED. at 530 pm. We need at least 29, 30 preferred. We wont be at it ALL night, but it will be a lengthy run. It will be pretty casual and fun.
Let me know if some of yall are interested.

Glad to have ya redbaron. Im sure it will be around that time to get everyone home from work and settled in.
Unfortunately my friends and I won't be able to run the new raid until Wednesday of next week (Dec 17th). The 4 of us (all Ags) have agreed to not look at any spoilers and stay off reddit for a week so we can all go in blind.
This might be a bit premature but if there are 2 people on here that aren't able to run the raid for a week or wants to go in blind with us next Wednesday feel free to shoot me your gamertag and I will send a friend request.

I'm seeing codes all over twitter for Xbone and Ps4. Anyone know what these are? Some sort of redemption codes for what? Even the official Bungie twitter and DestinytheGame are spewing these out.

Codes for free DLC, Bungie has been doing this since halo 3. You basically have to be sitting at the computer with Xbox live pulled up, hitting f5 on Twitter to be able to copy/paste before someone gets them.
They used to dump a big list instead of a few at a time. I got some halo maps once by being ready and grabbing a code from the middle of the list.

This week's nightfall is now lvl 30 and it is on the new strike from the DLC. We will go back to a normal rotation next week if you do not have the DLC.

Weird to me that you can access the Raid immediately, which builds off the story of the missions and the Strike, but can't access the Strike, which builds off of the missions. They made one decision in favor of the flow of the story, but made the other decision the opposite way.
Now, it does makes sense to me that they'd figure that the most hardcore raiders would care more about raiding ASAP than the story - I'm just noting the incongruity. They could have just made the new raid unavailable for a few days or until next Tuesday, etc., if they wanted to have an even starting point for everyone, but still have people see the story in its intended order first.

You don't want to have stupid little missions in the way of the community's competition to be the first group to complete the Raid. It is apparently a pretty big deal and Bungie does recognize the teams that achieve the World's First.

What you're saying is true, but like I said, you could accomplish that by delaying the raid opening two days or a week as well - which is exactly what they did for VoG. It didn't unlock with the rest of the game, and then they picked an arbitrary week and said "That's been enough time for people to gear up; let's let them at it!"
