Keep hearing that Micah Parsons is all over the field. Has had multiple picks, gets into the backfield, etc. He's making a lot of splash plays.
Post draft, my only real concern with him was that he took a year off and only had 2 years college ball. I was afraid he'd spend most of the year just trying to get comfortable. Sounds like that won't be an issue.

Safety position has been awful since Darren Woodson retired. Jerry needs to draft a good one, but he never does.jr15aggie said:

In their defense, they had 2 or 3 safeties they valued early in the 2nd round... problem was, there was a run on DBs in the first few picks of round 2. I personally was ticked when Jevon Holland got picked, he was my guy.
Talk is that Connor McGovern looking very good. McCarthy has said he's the most improved lineman on the team.
The good news here is not only do we have a very capable interior lineman, but if something happens to one of the OTs I'm pretty sure the right move would be put Martin at tackle and McGovern comes in at guard.

I don't have the rosiest of outlooks but that seems a little too drastic.
PSA: Staff has quickly taken care of 2 trolls in the last week. Don't feed them, just flag the post and staff has taken care of it.
Hearing that Trysten Hill has progressed well in rehab, but they are most likely going to keep him on PUP to start the season. More strategy than anything which isn't uncommon. He can be on PUP and still be on the team but not count for a roster spot.
Will be much easier to find him a roster spot a few weeks into the season after other guys have gotten injured, play poorly, etc.

Game day today. Anyone down for some fake football? That is what i call preseason.
I always get a little excited for the first preseason game just because it feels good to have football back, but somewhere probably in the 2nd quarter we will all be reminded of just how bad preseason football is.
As far as tonight, I am interested to see how the rookie CBs play. Joseph and Wright have both had some praise in camp so curious to see how they do.

Lots of youth that I'm looking forward to seeing. Anxious to see what DiNucci's got and if there's any growth there.
I think I'm looking the most forward to DiNucci and Gilbert. Hopefully they each get a half. Don't need to see Cooper Rush, he's played in plenty of preseasons before and I feel like he's a camp arm more than anything.

Some of the writers were talking the other day and they said that you can expect anybody that is a starter or significant back-up to not see the field or very limited action.
The exception to that is probably a few of the interior o-line and the rookies. It's possible Parsons doesn't even see the field, but I'd like to think he gets a few reps in.

I just hope to see that DiNucci has adjusted to the diff level of competition.
DiNucci had zero offseason last year... talk about mission impossible. This is really year 1 learning / growth for him. If Gilbert is adequate then we roll with him and maybe Ben can overtake him next year.
I think Grapes biggest threat is Andy Dalton. Chicago has Justin Fields, Nick Foles and Dalton. One of those vets will get released. If it's Dalton there is a good possibility he'd sign another bargain deal so he can play for the home team again.

The 105.3 guys say DiNucci's horrible... completely trashing him. JeffC says he's on the team because Coach knew him in the 8th grade.
