In fairness they did trade for Luka but all things considered IMO a borderline generational talent in Luka fell into their laps. If they manage to squander that I am out as well. They aren't getting another Luka any time soon, or most likely ever again.

Something that can't be lost in all this is the fact that if Luka wants Voulgaris (or anyone else) out Cuban would do it in a second.

Some of the "issues" that they listed were good points by Cuban, maybe not the best to have aired out some of those opinions, but I agree with some of the things he said.

Yeah, I think the working theory is that Bob got wind that Donnie was trying to oust him, so Bob made that video to subvert Donnie before Donnie made his move.

Definitely seemed like The Athletic article was a hit piece on Hbob orchestrated by Donnie. The fact they are now parting ways makes that seem even more likely. If Cuban found out that Donnie orchestrated it or was leaking info to Tim Cato, then it's time to part ways. Who knows, but somewhat makes sense.

Very interested to see which direction we go with the new GM.

That being said, Donnie DID hit on Dirk, Josh Howard, Devin Harris, Luka, Jalen Brunson

we missed on just about every trade or other draft pick over 20-ish years.

I feel like Donnie couldn't have been that dumb to actually help orchestrate that hit piece. Tim Cato has already tweeted that Donnie wasn't involved in the article, but I also understand that is likely hard to believe at face value.

But still, just seems like a really dumb move by Donnie to try to do that.

Find the best in the business at trades and FA and back up the truck. Donnie wasn't that guy. We have the superstar. But Luka needs support; get someone who has proven that they can do it.

Listening to the Ticket and I agree with Sports Sturm that Bob Voulgaris may be next on the chopping block. The bottom line is that we need to keep Luka happy.
