Do you have any access to data on 3 point shooting percentage on balls passed from in front of the player vs. passes that come from the side? I know that my shooting percentage was always much higher when catching kick-out passes from the post rather than catching it from another perimeter pass, and it seems like that's generally the case in the NBA, too.

I think Luka is clearly the key to this, but Carlisle's use of him and Lue's lack of ability to counter it is also very important.

Also, I would think evaluating specific players 3pt percentages in those scenarios in regular season vs post season would be more effective. As the playoff minutes tend to be different from regular season minutes/rotation.

Clippers shooting 63% from the field. It's a miracle this game is close frankly. The Mavs season long defensive issues are getting exposed. Let's see if they cool down at all and allow the Mavs to steal it.

I mean, Dallas is 15-27 from three. It's virtually impossible for a team to run away in the NBA when the opponent hits that many threes at that clip.
The Mavericks have clearly shown they can continue to shoot at this clip though, this is now three straight games. The anomaly is the Clippers, and 60% in a playoff game has been done less than 10 times ever.
