Let's see if they can string 3-4 wins together and get back to :500.


I do wish they played KP for longer stretches and maybe that is coming. He has been different the last two games. Maxi makes a difference.

Rest are meh, doncic aside obviously.

I feel like sometimes when we go on our mini slumps in games, JB is always the one to pull us out of it. He is so consistent. Not something you can say for many Mavs, but JB always shows up ready to play

This is awful. We are digging a ditch that we may not be able to get out of. At this point, just making the playoffs and having an early exit may be a stretch. We definitely are going to be too far behind to make up groin and get a decent seed.

Zach Lowe has a great podcast and the mavs were the primary topic in the last one with Tim Macmahon.

Basics:

1. We traded seth for Jrich with the assumption that Dodo could continue shooting high 30s like he did last year. We needed more defense and we had shooters. Basically slashers who are 3 and d types.

As has been talked on this thread, ALL of our shooters except Maxi are shooting historic lows.


2. The offense has completely lost its spark. Loss of silas maybe? With luka, we average 113 points for 100 possessions. Not horrible but not great. Wihout Luka, its 99.


3. KP, besides the bubble last year, has been a shell of Unicorn KP

4. The D part of the 3 and D has been terrible also clearly.

Rookies haven't panned out. Bad picks if they are not playing on this team, compared to others that were on the board.

No real solutions right now, unless they want to take on a big contract, but even those are no longer out there a lot. We have no package for Beal either.

they talked about this being a transition year for Luka as a leader, but clearly he does whine a lot and so far he has been frustrated. Maybe he is too young. He turns 22 this month. They talked about not having a veteran that others will follow.

Biggest issue is still shooting. Team bet on D over shooting and they bet wrong thus far.

I fully recognize the abject greatness of Steph Curry. His game is incredible. Undoubtedly. And he's a good dude, by all reports. Great face for the NBA.

Much needed win tonight. It got hairy toward the end, especially with Steph having an all-world shooting game. But they held on, and that will hopefully build some confidence with this group.
