That was a nice win to get, especially on a day where Philly lost. Will Smith is an always an adventure. Now they have a chance to put it away against the Phillies.

Big win tonight! Wheeler was the pitching matchup I was least confident in. Just about got them buried now. That 9th inning was stressful again though.

Magic number now 3.

Will Smith bound and determined to make every 9th inning an adventure…

Now to finish them tomorrow and have no worries about the Mets series. Rest guys and set up the rotation and bullpen.

As a Braves fan and a Cowboys fan, beating up on Philadelphia this week has been a lot of fun.

That's a pretty crazy graphic. If somebody told you before the season that they'd have 3 guys over 100 RBI, you would have been certain that 2 of the 3 would have been Freddie and Acuna.

Now we dont have to play that game vs the Rockies. Now gets some starters some rest and get ready for the Brewers.

Yeah, that's devastating. It will be interesting to see what direction the front office goes the rest of the season. They could still catch the Mets, but there's no way this collection of players will win a WS. Makes more sense to trade off a couple of vets who are in the final year of their contracts and call up some young guys, like Pache and maybe Waters.

Here's a freezing cold take by me from July 11.

It's incredible that they turned this season around. Alex Anthopolous deserves executive of the year. The starting outfield in April was Acuna, Ozuna and Pache. Acuna got hurt, Ozuna got arrested, and Pache wasn't ready. Then we had a stretch where Adrianza, Almonte and Heredia were the outfield. Yikes. AA gets to work and they end up with Soler, Duvall and Rosario/Pederson. I've never seen that much turnover in a single season for a contending team.

And then you look at the rotation. I wasn't sure the off-season signings were necessary at the time with all the pitching depth they already had in the organization, but can you imagine this season without Charlie Morton? Smyly hasn't been great, but he's eaten a lot of innings, which was needed with all the staff turnover. Anderson was hurt for a while. Ynoa punched a wall. Soroka got hurt again. Muller and Toussaint had flashes of really good before dropping off. Wright and Wilson continued to disappoint when given opportunities. Tucker Davidson was brilliant prior to injury.

Now we enter the post season with three reliable horses in Morton, Fried and Anderson. Not sure who gets the call in game 4. Ynoa with a short leash? Maybe they bring up Muller? Bullpen game? Either way you have to feel good about the momentum this team is carrying into the playoffs.

Sounds like Spencer Strider is going to get called up to help the bullpen for the post season. He started the season in Low-A and has been promoted three times already. This will be his fourth promotion. Has a legit 100 mph fastball and strikes out a ton of guys.

Tough one…had a chance in the 9th. Duvall had a first pitch home-run cut turn into a bunt with two on and one out. Urgh…on to game two.

We had so many chances to win this game. Can't complain too much about our pitching though...

Yes, pitching did its job, Brewers pitching was just a tad better. Not going to win many games with just one run. Good thing is this group can bounce back and light it up.

Hoping Fried channels his inner Maddux tomorrow!

Let's get it done Braves Country!

This is a special group. Just today, they lost their lead off man in Soler just hours before the game. They just fight back no matter the circumstances and find a way.

Two straight shut outs and 20+ straight scoreless innings spanning four games is just crazy pitching.

On to the NLCS! Tomahawk chop baby!

Oh, man!

Tomahawk Chop!

We were 2 innings away from a World Series last season!

Tomahawk Chop!

And IF we make it to the World Series, and IF the Astros do too, I'm going to see the Braves in person in another World Series!

Its October and the Aggies win, the sips lose, and the Braves are in the NLCS. Like being a kid again in the early 90's!

Ready to get this series going!
