That changed fast.

Olson put one in the river for a grand slam. Inning is not yet over either.

13-0 Braves. We have outscored the Pirates 21-2 over these three games.

ETA: Now 14-0. Grossman with a 3 hit day.

2023 schedule is out. For us TX Braves fans, the Braves travel again to Arlington but host the Astros again. Good news for the Rangers, there were a lot of Braves fans at the Friday night game this year especially.

Yes, and we get a yearly home and home with the Red Sox as our "natural" rival. I have always wanted to make a trip to Fenway, but could not make it happen this year.

Also like that we will get yearly trips to Texas, alternating with the Rangers and Astros.

Braves have had extension talks with Swanson since all star break apparently. Same reps as Freeman so we will see how it goes.

I'll be very curious to see how Dansby's contract situation plays out. Him being such good friends with Freddie, and basically having a front-row seat to how that all played out, I would HOPE that benefits the Braves in being able to keep him.

Apparently Dansby has gotten close to Chipper and Frenchy and sees them as mentors. I can guarantee that those two would tell him to stay in Atlanta and keep chasing trophies.

I would have fired them
If you can't handle the stress, log off until August. If you can handle the stress, be supportive and donate to United. No more buildings and concrete. Gotta channel funds to the collective for now.

Braves capitalizing on mistakes by the Cardinals tonight.

Scored two after the Cardinal infield botched a sure double play.

Scored three on a bases clearing double by Contreras after two walks.

Strider has looked sharp again, trying to get through 6.

Strider gets through 6. Gave up a couple of bloop hits to start the inning, then barely kept Pujols in the park with a solid play from Grossman for out #1, got a K for out #2, and gets a solid defensive play from Acuna on a sharply hit ball for out #3.

Strider's last three games against the Mets, Astros, and Cardinals. 17 innings, 12 hits, 18 strikeouts, and 3 earned runs.

Jansen with a disaster brewing in the 9th inning of a one run game.

Tie game now.

Just horrible to watch. Cardinals are likely to walk it off now. Walks, hit a batter on a 1-2 count, and a soft infield grounder. Inexcusable for a closer.

Now its 3-0 with the bases loaded.

Jansens ****ing walks the winning run in. Unbelievable.

What an absolute **** show of a performance from him in a game we should have won. There are blown saves and then there is that **** I just had to watch.

Just absolutely inexcusable.

We manage 6 hits but can't get anything across.

Odorizzi takes a no hitter through 5 2/3, then Nootbarr gets what can only be described as a pure luck home run (he literally had no idea where he hit the ball) and then Odorizzi gives up three straight afterwards.

2-0 Cardinals.

Still pissed about Jansen's performance last night.

Not a good series for the bullpen.

First game gave up 3 in the 9th. Fortunately, we were up big.

Second game gave up 2 in the 9th, resulting in loss.

Last night, gave up 4 in the 8th, resulting in loss.

Jesse Chavez is back from the Angel's. Didnt pitch well for them and was released. He always seems to pitch better for the Braves.

Man…we are letting them hang around. Seems like every inning we have had guys on 2nd and 3rd, but cannot get them home. We were able to get a couple, but the Rockies got both back.

Feels like we should have 5-6 runs by now.

ETA: After the 3rd inning, Fried has just not looked sharp. Now have runners on the corners with no one out in the top half of the fifth.

Man…tough loss. Way, way too many opportunities missed, to include gaining a game on the Mets. Started in the first inning when Travis struck out with the bases loaded by swing at ball four twice.

Kyle Wright was fantastic tonight.

AJ Minter looked great.

I am starting to get concerned about Jansen. After getting two outs in the top of the 9th of a three run game, he promptly walks a batter and then puts one center cut for a two run homer, making it a 3-2 game and bringing the tying run to the plate. He got the third out, but really only after being bailed out by Bucknor, who has to be one of the worst at calling strikes and balls, twice. The first was close enough, but the second was not, but we got the call. Starting to think we need to put Igelsias in the closer role and give it a shot.

Riley and Acuna both go yard to get just enough for the 3-2 win.

Strider was already in contention. He may have just passed Harris though. I'm admittedly uninformed about how other rookies are performing, but these 2 guys have to be 1 and 2 in the voting. Just a matter of how they close out the season.
