Ugly 7th inning. After 2 HBP and a single, the fat DH for NY hits a tailor made dp ball. McNeill slides about 8 ft off the bag and causes Grissom to throw it away. It should have been clear cut interference and an automatic double play. But the ump just ignored it and Snit inexplicably decided not to challenge.
Did not see the DP play (or, attempted DP), just saw that Grissom was charged with an error.

Acuna hit as the first batter of the game and leaves. Pitch tracker doesn't show where he was hit. Hope it is nothing. Curious to see if there was intent.
Acuna got plunked hard on the 3rd pitch of the game. He had to come out of the game. Upper shoulder. If it hadn't hit his shoulder, it was going to hit him in the face. Fortunately, I do not think it hit any where that could cause him to be out a long time, but I can definitely see where he needed to come out for this game.
First two pitches were in the zone. Way too many guys try to go inside on him like that, all the time. Not saying it was intentional, but, like I said, first two pitches were right in the zone and then we get 95ish MPH right at his face.

Eddie with a big hit to not only get us on the board, but to out us ahead after going down 2-0. With the bases full, he gets a two-out bases clearing double.
Elder had another great outing, 7 innings, no runs, and 6Ks. Bats got a couple of runs against Alcantara early, including an Albies HR. Bullpen did their part and kept the fish off the board for the 6-0 win.

Ozuna goes deep, again. Which is good because Kyle Wright has not been sharp and had to exit early, giving up 3 runs in less than 3 innings.

Harris comes out of the game after what looks like a hyper extension of his knee while running out a ground ball. He walked off the field under his own power, which is good, but still scary. Hoping it is nothing and he can get back soon.
Report on Harris was jammed his knee, which is about as good a report you can expect when it involves a knee.

With Kyle Wright going on the IL, I wonder if that will get Soroka a chance in the rotation. Kyle has arguably been our weakest starter so far this season and it appears that this shoulder thing might be the main cause.
So far this season our major weakness has been in the bullpen. It has cost us at least a couple of games, but they are still sitting at the top of NL and the East @ 21-10, and are 9-3 against the division. The starting pitching, even with Kyle not pitching as good as he did last year, has been outstanding. Getting Iglesias back will certainly help with bullpen, as it would take some pressure off of Minter to be the closer.
What is crazy about the game yesterday...we had 8 runs on the board before any of the 1-2-3 hitters even had a hit in the game. They were 0-5 with a walk going into the 5th inning. Just highlights how deep this lineup is, and although I have not been pleased with Ozuna, if he gets going this lineup is going to be downright scary good.

Could be a lot of runs scored today, but Dodd needs to get some innings in. The bullpen is pretty gassed after the last few days. Soler recreated his 21 World Series bomb at MMP, but this time at our expense.

Interesting call up. Adrianza, who never plays, went in the IL. So Shewmake and Grissom will both be in Atlanta. Grissom has been struggling at the plate lately and his defense is still shaky. If Shew can just be not terrible at the plate, he'll be an upgrade based on his glove. We'll see how Snit balances the two.
Bigger news, at least from the Braves perspective, is that Iglesias was activated too. Huge boost to the bullpen.
