Streak over.

Managed to get shutout with only two hits.

Missed chance in the 9th to push something across, but couldn't make it happen.

Gave up the winning and only in the 8th without giving up a hit. Started with a walk.

Tough way to end the streak, but that is baseball.

Do not disagree.

Disappointed that we couldn't get some run support for Charlie. He pitched a great game. 7 innings, 3 hits, and no runs should get you a W most of the time.

I'm much more excited about Charlie's great start than I am disappointed by the L. It's just sightly annoying that it also broke the Cubs ten game losing streak.

Only took 14 innings, but we finally got some runs on the board in Chicago.

Still down 4-2, but hoping that last inning revives the bats.

Got it going early today and never looked back. Travis hit one out of Wrigley and into the street in the first for a 3-0 lead. That was all Ian Anderson needed, but we added 3 more after Harris hit his 3rd homer followed by three straight doubles from Swanson, Riley, and Olson.

Mets and Phillies lost. Ags taking care of business.

Good day for baseball.

Walked off the Giants in 9th!

Arcia with his second walk off hit this season!

Great Major League Baseball game for a Monday in June. Had plenty of drama in the late innings. Down 1-0, the Giants loaded them with no outs in the 8th, but managed to only get one run across to tie the game. Braves got runners on first and second with no outs in the second half of the 8th, but a double play and strike out ended the frame.

In the 9th, Jansen pitched well, but gave up back to back two strike hits, so the Giants had 2nd and 3rd with one out. He then struck out the next two Giants in dominant fashion to end the frame.

Doval came in to pitch for the Giants and walked Olson on four pitches. He got Travis to strike out, but then gave up a single to Ozuna. Duvall strikes out, but Arcia came through to end the game.

Great win for this team!

Strider had a rough second inning, loaded them with no outs and gave up a 3 run homer to the 9 hole hitter as the Giants plate 4 to go up 4-0.

But, Ozuna gets 2 back with a 2 run homer in the 2nd, then Olson gets the lead with a 3 run homer in the 3rd.

Wild game!

Strider does not make it through the 4th, giving up two more runs and losing the lead, 6-5. Just not his normal self tonight.

In the bottom half of the 4th, the Giants get two quick outs and then are quickly up in the count 0-2 to Harris. In two pitches, the game flips back. Harris gets hit by a pitch, and on the next pitch Acuna puts one 409 feet away into the stands.

7-6 Braves as we go to the 5th.

Morton has pitched great again through 7.

And we have given him zero runs in those two starts. Only one hit tonight through six. Hoping we get something going in the lower half of the 7th.

And just as I was typing that, Ozuna gets a single followed by another Olson double. Braves get in the board, but ultimately strand Olson at third.

Minter got in trouble and gave up a run in the 9th. Started with a hit batsman (barely, barely), followed by consecutive two strike singles, the second of which should have been an inning ending double play as it went right to where the shortstop should be, but Dansby was on the otherside of second in the shift.

Down 3-1 and down to our last three outs. Right group is up, lets get it done!

THREE RUN NINTH!

WALKED 'EM OFF, AGAIN!

Started with a Dansby homer, followed by an Ozuna single. Olson flied out deep to center, but the center fielder was slow to the throw in, allowing Ozuna to tag to second. Contreras gets a single to score Ozuna and tie the game. Arcia strikes out, but Contreras steals second. Duvall comes through with a two out single to score the winning run.

Awesome game! Astros took care of the Mets and the Rangers took care of the Phils. Moving up!

Dansby...WOW!

Starting with the 9th inning last night, he has 3 homeruns in his last 4 at bats. The exception, he was hit by a pitch in his second AB today.

From the get go, Ian just did not have it tonight. Just cannot throw strikes. Walked four through 4+, and now we are down 3-0, with the bases loaded and no outs in the 4th.

EDIT: McHugh came in, struck out Taylor, had a possible double play ball (just could not turn it quick enough), and then another ground ball to end the inning. Only gave up one run, which is a big win to keep it close.

We are going to head into the 9th with a minimum 2-0 lead.

Would love to get another run or three here.

After watching Freddie get all emotional, pretty clear to me he never really wanted to leave. Sucks it worked out like it did, but Minter summed up my feelings perfectly with that 8th inning punchout.

Jansen did not pitch bad at all. He did his job and threw strikes.
