Olson with a 3 run homerun to make it 8-0.

Mets radio crew: "And that makes it 8-0 Braves, which is why we are talking about Tom Seaver's 1971 season…"

Just as predicted, Allan Winans is the Braves new ace!

7 shut out innings!

Pitching can be contagious just like hitting.

Olson with another homerun. That is 42 on the year with 105 RBIs.

Albies got one in the 7th.

Now 12-0 Braves.

Nicky Lopez hits a homerun in the top of the 9th, capping off an 8 run inning to make it 21-3. 4 hit game with 5 RBIs.

He is now on to pitch the bottom half of the 9th.

ETA: He pitched a scoreless 9th. What a game for him.

Forest Wall with his first MLB hit. Came off a position player but no one needs to know that when he tells his grandkids.

Braves outscore the $365 million team 27-3 today and 34-3 in the series so far.

Strider got it together, Minter and Iggy shut down the 8th and 9th to secure the second shutout of the series.

Pitching coming apart at the seems again.

Give up three runs without a ball in play and then the 9 hole hitter kills us, again.

I love this team but my word, we have given up more 3-0 and 4-0 leads on this road than we need to.

Is there anyone that can start in place of Chirinos?

If he comes back Wright. If not you have Soroka, Dodds, Schuster, and Winans.

To be fair, this team has had way more 3-4 run leads than any other team in baseball.

The 5th starter has been such a revolving door, but that's really not too unusual. Wright is making progress, but I think he's still at least a month away. Soroka threw a masterpiece in AAA over the weekend. Winnans did what he did on Saturday. Honestly, if the top 4 guys would consistently do their job, I could live with a 5th starter who is performing like Chirinos is.

That is true. The offense has not slowed down at all. Four was the low runs number for this road trip.

Chirinos almost performed exactly as expected. Listening to the game on the radio while out in the pasture last night, the announcers were talking about how much better teams are against him the third time through the line up. And sure enough, it played out that way.

My problem is if you know that is the case, have someone warming up just in case. Instead, we had no one ready to go and we had to wait until the game was tied with the bases loaded before you can get McHugh out there. So little room for error in that situation.

Still an option as well. It could very well be whomever has the hot hand down the stretch.

Nicky Lopez filing in for Ozzie tonight and comes through with a two-out base hit that scores a couple of runs to give the Braves a 3-2 lead in the 2nd!

Doing things a little differently here in the 3rd. No long balls, just a bunch of line drives finding grass. Nicky Lopez is getting it done!

11-3 the final.

Bottom half of the order was relentless tonight. 6-9 hitters (Ozuna, Rosario, Arcia, and Lopez) tallied 9 hits and 8 RBIs.

Ozzie to the IL. It will be interesting to see if Grissom gets the call up.

Hate to hear that. Hopefully they can get him treated and back on the roster quickly.

Lopez has been great, but hard to imagine he can continue to play like he has been.

Have to figure they will call up Grissom.

What a game. Braves win 5-0.

Lead MLB in shutouts with 11. Gave up only one hit. Saw that our bullpen is tied for the second best ERA in MLB.

Elder with a great outing tonight. 7 innings of one hit,
shutout ball. Minter and Yates pitched the 8th and 9th, persevering the one hit shutout.

Ozuna goes yard in the first inning and Acuna does the same in the fifth.

Braves win 5-0.

You're right. We were tied at 11 before tonight.

Elder looked great. So did the defense with 4 double plays.

Phillies also lost tonight. Pushed the lead in the division back to 12.5 games after it briefly got into the single digits.

Have to keep it up as the Dodgers are going to be right there for the top spot in the NL…so go Brewers tonight!

One more to add…

The Braves have outscored the two New York teams 57-13 over the last six games including three shutouts.

I really like how the bullpen is rounding into form. They've basically got 6 high leverage guys, with Iglesias, Minter, Jimenez, Yates, Johnson and Hand. McHugh and Tonkin are acceptable stretch guys. As long as the starters can continue to perform as they have over the last trip through the rotation (and not like they did in Chicago and Pittsburgh), they'll be able to avoid overworking the top 6 guys and keep them fresh for the playoffs.

Atlanta should make some noise in the postseason, but can the Braves make it to the World Series again?

Just like last time we made the Series, I don't care if we win it all, I just want our team to be invited to the party. If we only get to the NLCS this season I'll be disappointed considering the team we have and how they've been playing…
