Kyle Wright with seven strong innings, only giving up two runs with 11 ground outs, per the TV crew. Currently in line to get win #11 on the season.

Not for me to post on this thread but since I'm at the game…

Cano is frustrating as hell to watch

Yep, missed that soft grounder to second to allow Soto to score.

Also grounded into not one, but two double plays.

Not sold on this move yet just for the sake of having a lefty bat in the line up. Really think Arcia is just the better all round player.

I mean I get that he's smooth and all but there's that part of me that thinks he's be much closer to 3K hits if he just gave a shyyyt and busted his ass down the line.

.…good turnout by Atlanta fans by the way.

Gonna make this difficult…

Made it difficult, but got it done. Jansen gives up a solo shot in the bottom of the 9th, then allows a single, with Bell coming up. Robles steals second (way too easy as we have discussed with Jansen's slow delivery) and Jansen falls behind 3-1 to Bell with Soto on deck.

Bell takes strike two and then strikes out by swinging at ball four.

5-4 Braves win.

Somehow Cruz stole a base off Minter as well.

Did not post last night, but did watch the game.

Olson had a big night, but did it using the single instead of the long ball. He had three straight ABs with an RBI single. Riley has had a monster month and continues to crush the ball. Duvall doubled and scored, then hit a 456 bomb in the 9th.

Ian Anderson had another good start. Pitched out a jam or two, with the help of some solid infield defense from Riley and Swanson.

Braves went into the bottom of the 9th leading 8-1. Will Smith comes in after Dylan Lee pitched perfect 7th and 8th innings. And it got interesting. After a couple of soft contact hits, Smith gave up a run and had runners at second and third with two outs. He then proceeds to walk Josh Bell to load the bases so he can pitch to Juan Soto. Brilliant strategy. Soto had his hit streak on the line after going 0-2 with a couple of walks. Fortunately, Smith does pitch around him, much to the dismay of Soto, walking him and allowing the Nats to plate only one run to make it 8-3. Soto and Smith exchange words. I am sure they were just inviting each other over dinner…

Not wanting Smith to have all the fun, Snit then brings in Minter, who promptly puts one in the dirt to allow another run to score. Then, he walks the guy to reload the bases with the tying run now at the plate.

Now the situation has become a little more high leverage, suddenly Minter gets focused and gets a strike out to end the game, 8-4.

Way too much drama in the bottom of 9th of what was an 8-1 game.

Had to come out after a two hour rain delay and get six outs to seal a 6-3 win.

Chavez and Jansen get outs in six tries.

Olson and Riley went back to back earlier to give the Braves a 4-0 lead. Fried did Fried things.

The team that was under .500 entering June has a chance to be 20 games over .500 at the break.

Strider had a very tough 2nd inning.

35 or so pitches and four runs given up. Multiple two strike hits.

Should have gotten out of the inning, but Riley sailed the throw to first on a really soft grounder that would have ended the inning. Instead, the Nats move guys to second and third, and a two out single followed by a 2 run homer make 4-0 Nats.

It is a bullpen game for the Nats and still plenty of time.

After being shut out on one hit through three innings, the Braves bats come to life in the fourth.

Swanson singles, Olson doubles, Riley singles, Rosario gets a sac fly RBI, and Duvall doubles as the Braves cut into the lead by 3 runs and chase Weems out of the game.

Acuna just got HBP. Wasn't bad, it actually hit something in his back pocket. But that was after he got brushed off the plate on the first pitch for the third at bat in a row.

It is just starting to be BS how often people are throwing at him like they do.

This was strike three on a full count with Olson at the plate.

Quite possibly one of the worst strike calls I have seen. Was not even close. Catcher couldn't even frame it as a strike. Just a bad, bad call.

Instead of runners at first and second with Riley up, it ends the inning.

Olson was up with two outs and the bases loaded, with a huge chance to push across some runs or take the lead.

Gets the count full and then gets one of the end of the bat, little dribbler to the pitcher to end the inning and the scoring threat.

6-3 Nats in the bottom of the 7th.

Ump gave us a make up call, and called ball four strike one for Soto.

Next pitch is a homer.

Thanks…

Just not our day. 7-3 Nats in the bottom of the 8th.

After a second inning double, Ohtani retired 15 straight Braves.

To start the 7th, he walks Dansby and then Olson put one in the Chop House!

2-0 Braves!

After the Olson homer, the Braves reel off three straight singles, the last of which pushes Riley across.

3-0 Braves, with runners at 1st and 2nd, no outs.

BOOM!

Arcia launches a three BOMB!

6-0 Braves, only one out in the 7th.

Ohtani looked un-hittable through 6, allowing only one base runner. Braves light him up in the 7th for six runs and the Angels head to the bullpen.

Ozuna goes deep in the 8th. 8-0 Braves.

3 outs away from moving 1.5 back of the Mets!

In case you missed it!

ETA: Robinson Cano started this game, but did not make it to his first at bat. Left the game due to dizziness. Arcia came in and not only hit the three run bomb, but also turned a difficult inning ending double play that kept the Angels off the board.

Really wish Snit would just leave Arcia out there as the everyday 2nd baseman.

Braves struck early and often.

Kyle Wright is your NL wins leader.

Braves win. Mets lose.

Chance to claim the NL East lead and you get that kind of start….

Duvall out for the year.

Ian had a horrible outing today. He has not been very reliable. He now has more than once taken us out of the game in the early innings. That is gonna be tough to deal with during a division race.

Will be interesting to see if AA tries to address either of the two issues above.

Went to yalls Park for first time today..... setting is beautiful. That being said.... my lord yall need a roof it was ****in HOT!!! Which caused more people to be on the concourse than their sears resulting in a charlie foxtrot of a traffic Jam all over the park. Any stadium south of the Mason Dixon line should be mandated to have air conditioning lol.

All that aside the battery overall is awesome and a genius concept
Im looking for Ray Finkle.... and a clean pair of shorts. Im just a very big Finkle fan. This is my Graceland, sir.

Yeah, after our first day-game there in the fully exposed sun, we learned our lesson. Only shaded seats for us now.
yawny06
How long do you want to ignore this user?

Our first game there we had seats on the first deck, third base line, about middle left field. Game started at 6:20 and it was not until about the 3rd inning that the sun got off us.

Second game we had tickets on the second deck also third base line but closer to the dugout. Sun was hidden by the clouds and it was nice, but during a day game it would have been different.

First base side would definitely be where you want to sit if you want out of the sun.

Battery was awesome. We accidentally showed up 3 hours before game time (my time was messed up between eastern and central) and were able to walk into a restaurant and get a table. The next night, we went two hours before game time and could not get a seat anywhere. So, go a little earlier if you have tickets and want to eat before the game.
