Geez…have only been able to muster two hits (both by Contreras) tonight. Max was also off, having to throw 107 pitches to get through 6 innings. Still, he only gave up two runs, which should be good enough to get a W.

Really need the bats to wake up with six outs to go, down 2-1.

Man…we just had to make that interesting.

Up 3-1 in the 9th, Nats get two on without getting the ball out of the infield on two pitches.

After two strike outs, a single makes it 3-2 with runners at the corners. Intentional walk to load the bases and then a deep fly ball ends the game.

Braves win, 3-2, after the Brew crew blow a 4-0 lead to the Mets.

Man…what a baseball game. Neither team wanted to lose, but the Braves did just enough to get a W in an 11 inning back and forth affair that also had a two plus hour rain delay.

Jackson Stephens pitched both the 10th and 11th, giving up only a single run in the 11th after the Braves push two across. What a job by him and the bullpen to get the W.

8-0 headed into the 9th.

Olson, Ozuna, and Arcia all go yard. Ozuna added a double for a 2 RBI night. Olson had a sacrifice to get his 3rd RBI of the night.

Bryce Elder is tossing a shutout through 8 on 95 pitches.

Bryce Elder with the complete game shutout, the first rookie for the Braves to accomplish that since 1990.

Got the start to give the starters some rest, then gave the bullpen some rest while he was at it!

Elder might be putting himself in the postseason rotation discussion. Fried and Weight are the only sure things. Hopefully Strider will be back. I don't see Odorizzi making the roster. Morton has been pretty inconsistent. You could make the case that Elder gets the ball in game 3.

It matters, but Charlie has had a lot of bad starts lately. It's a little risky to just assume he's going to rise to the occasion just because it's October.

Do not disagree that Morton has had some shaky outings. Honestly tired of seeing him hit the back foot of lefties in pitcher's counts with that curve ball. If I were the manager and Strider were healthy, he'd be my #3 starter over Morton. However, I am not the manager and I just do not see Snit making such a move.

On the flip side in Morton's defense, in games he has pitched well, he has gotten poor run support.

These had to be the most nit picky balks ever. Never seen three in a single at bat. First base ump completely interjected himself in the game. He literally scored a run for the Mets in a game with postseason implications.

It was Bleier's first three balks if his career. In a span of 6 pitches.

Ump should be fired or investigated for betting on games.
