Five in a row! A little interesting in the 9th, but we got the W.

6, 13, 3, 6, and 8 runs in those five wins. Looks like Duvall might be starting to come to life at the plate after last night's dinger.

Six straight!

Acuna with a couple of homers. Herridia broke the tie with a go ahead homer.

Harris had a spectacular catch in center field. Even made Andruw Jones say wow.

Kyle Wright gave up two in the first but then went 7 straight scoreless. Jansen with a clean 9th for the save.

Hoping we can start to make up some ground the Mets. They had a major injury scare with Alonso and Marte. Does not look like it will be as devastating as it could have been, but it might give us a chance to really cut into the divisional lead before the All Star break. We have a favorable schedule over the next 11 games. Mets do have the Angels coming up next after the Padres, then the Brewers. You would think the Angels will have to win one sooner or later, but after 13 straight losses, there is no telling.

Bought tickets yesterday for a couple of games against the Cardinals in early July. Will be first trip to Truist Park. Been to Turner Field about 20 years ago, so excited to see the Braves in person AND to be able to take the kids. They are as excited as I am!

Results are in. No breaks for Alonso, and doesn't look like Marte will go on the IL (according to him). There is a possibility they could both go, but it will be a brief stint. We dodged a huge bullet.

Lighting it up right now. After being down 2-1 heading into the bottom of the 5th, we are going into the 8th up 13-2.

Harris with a double and triple. Duvall with a homer and a double. Riley with a homer and a single. Ozzie with a homer. 13 hits total through 7. Contreras with another homer. Olson had a double and a single. Everyone scored at least one run. Great night at the plate!

Ian pitched well through 6. Chavez shut it down in the 7th. Will Smith is going to get some low leverage action in the 8th.

I really like what we're seeing out of Spencer Strider. I wanted to see him on the postseason roster last year, but I guess they decided he just wasn't quite ready. I liked him coming out of the bullpen earlier this season, but now that they're stretching him out to be a starter, he looks like he's up to the challenge. And Fried, Anderson, Wright, Strider as your first 4 starters is starting to look pretty nasty. It would be nice if Morton could find it, but I can live with a shaky 5 turning it over to the bullpen every fifth day.

The first couple months of the season were rocky, but I think we're finally starting to see who this team really is.

Minter makes a great move to pick off Reynolds in the top of the 8th to end the inning.

Olson goes yard in the bottom if the 8th for an insurance run.

Jansen gives up a bloop single to start the 9th (Dansby really should have caught it, but was ruled a hit), but then gets the next three to get the save.

11 straight and the Phils are losing 8-1.

Duvall is getting hot!

Just followed an Ozuna homer with one of his own. That is 3 in the last two games (and we are only in the 3rd). Continuing to get production from the catcher position, as Travis also went yard in the second inning. Dansby came through with a two-out, 2 RBI single, also in the second. That makes 5 two out runs scored this game.

6-0 Braves, through 2 1/2.

Ozzie fell down coming out of the batter's box on a grounder to short and then came out of the game. Not sure what exactly happened, but he hobbled off the field.

Hoping he is ok, was just a weird play.

Was a rough 5th inning all the way around. Ozzie goes out, then Ian can't get anyone out and comes out the game with the bases loaded and no outs after giving up a run. Lee came in and got some outs, limiting the damage to only two more runs.

Dansby got a couple back in the 6th with a two-out, two run home run.

Orlando Arcia comes off the bench to play second after Ozzie goes down…

He is 6 for 8 with 2 homers and 4 RBIs, including 3 for 3 tonight. ETA: Now 4 for 4 on the night.

He also made a veteran play after mishandling a grounder to still get the 3rd out to end the Nats 7th inning.

And Austin just went yard, again, to make it 8-2.

He almost had a three homer game tonight. Had one earlier in the game just barely go foul about 3/4's the way up the foul pole.

Sounds like he's ahead of schedule and should have his first rehab start later this month. It'll be interesting to see what they do if he works his way back into the rotation. Fried, Wright and Anderson are locked in. Strider could go back to the pen, but I don't think you want to do anything to stunt his development as a frontline starter. He's a future ace. That leaves Charlie Morton, who is showing signs of improvement but is very obviously the weak link in this rotation.

Loving this lineup right now. Arcia will cool off, obviously, but he's been an upgrade over Ozzie thus far. Didn't see that coming.
