I beat The Forge yesterday. Light level 608 with ikelos and Thunderlord running Well.
It took about 6 tries. Rally the flag, matchmake, try, fail. Rally the flag, matchmake, try, fail.
I was matched a few times with two guardians that were 610+ but eventually beat it with two 605 guaradians. The game was a little generous as I think we took the down the boss a second or two after the timer ran out.

The name change wasn't because they thought the size or difficulty was "raid" worthy. They changed it because it's a new story/setting. Of course it was likely 100% a marketing move regardless of what their definition is.

Looks like after beating the first forge you will start picking up pages from fallen that will eventually allow you to unlock the second forge.
Anyone want to grind strikes or Gambit tonight? Or anything else?

The second forge is easier in my opinion. With exception of the servitor and the many immune phases

yes I will do the first forge twice tonight as well as hopefully complete the second one. the second forge quest is kind of lengthy to unlock
