Here are the different versions
Note: You have to own the Destiny 2 base game and all of the previous expansions to play Forsaken.


There are a few different things to decide when you pick which version to buy:

• Do you have all previous DLCs and the Destiny 2 Base Game?
• Do you want the Annual Pass?
• Do you care about getting pre-order bonuses?

Forsaken ($40): Just the Expansion
Forsaken + Annual Pass ($70): Annual Pass will pay for the three content drops throughout the year (Winter 2018, Spring 2019, and Fall 2019)
Forsaken Digital Deluxe Edition ($80): Same as previous but you get some extra preorder bonuses

Forsaken Legendary Collection ($60): For those that don't own all the previous Destiny 2 expansions.
Forsaken Complete Collection ($100): Literally everything since Destiny 2 base game including the Annual Pass and pre-order bonuses

Watching all those videos has me geeked out.

However, im trying to get my golf handicap down and just shot 74 today with about 9 more of those rounds needed to get where i wanna go.

Im glad they are delaying the release over this senseless shooting. I wish twitch would go silent for 24 too. Competition across the platforms and between the great and middling players is too toxic right now.

In Forsaken, all weapons will be locked to a single element when it drops in the world or you pull it from your collection. However, if you have a Year 1 weapon in your vault or on your character it wont change the element on those specific weapons. So what you'll want to do is if you have a favorite weapon on this list, you want to make sure that it is NOT the element next to it.

For example: Manannan SR4 will be locked to Void. Say I have an Arc and Void one already. On Aug. 27th, I'll make sure I keep the Arc and switch void to solar, that way I'll be able to use one of each because I can pull a void one from my collection whenever I want.


The only exceptions are the Escalation Protocol Shotgun and Sniper which will be locked to Solar even changing the elements on the ones you own.

Another important thing to do before the August 28th update is to empty out your postmaster because there's a chance some of the weapons on your character will be deleted if there isn't room for them in the postmaster.

I would definitely be down for one last EP run. I need to get one more finish for my last piece of titan armor. Just missing the helmet and I have a key I can upgrade now!

Do we know if the ones switching to kinetic weapons (example would be Hawthorne's shotgun) are all getting switched or just those that you pull from the collection later? I'm guessing they will retrofit the ones we already have since it is moving to that kinetic/primary slot, but I just wanted to double check since I'm switching weapons around on their damage types right now.

They are all gonna switch, that's why we need to empty out the postmaster to make sure it's saved if there's not room for it in the new slot.

For example, say your character has a hawthornes field tested shotgun. If you have kinetic slot available, it'll just move up there but if you don't, it'll go to the postmaster. I believe if the postmaster is full it'll be deleted.
