That is not dispositive of the recusal issue in and of itself. There would have to be more to require recusal.

That having been said, it is a very bad look and has the appearance of impropriety. A cautious and ethical attorney would take that into serious consideration.

On another note, from reading the indictment, there is nothing that suggests why the Public Corruption Unit is involved in this case. Nothing.

I expect more indictments because of that.

No.
Federal statutory rape law makes it criminal to engage in a sexual act with another person who is between the age of 12 and 16 if they are at least four years younger than you. Each state takes a different approach as the age of consent has ranged from 10 to 18.

Seems a very safe assumption. Or the reporting of PCU's involvement is inaccurate.

From the timelines I have seen, Comey was still DAG when the Palm Beach Police received the first report in March 2005 of Epstein's activities. (Comey left in August of 2005).

Bob McCallum was acting DAG until March 2006 when Paul McNulty was confirmed. But McNulty only lasted about a year and a few months. Then Craig Morfor was acting DAG, until Mark Filip was confirmed.

Since emails reference obstruction coming from DC and specifically the "DAG" it is unclear which of those I listed might be under investigation by PCU or if it were someone else.

ETA: If Comey was DAG when the obstruction from DC occurred, his daughter most certainly should be recused.

The reason Epstein got off hook with the deal the first time around was because he had so much OTHER dirt on powerful public figures. I hope the screws are tightened so much that his legal team desperately leaks details on Clinton etc.


This is not about punishing what JE did. It's about using it to unravel a huge swath of heinous crimes done by people connected to him.

NOTHING is going to happen to any of these people. The fix is in. Too many partisan operatives in positions to look the other way in terms of evidence or prosecutable offenses. The fact that Comey's daughter is in the mix is by design. The swamp is all encompassing. We are ruled by power-hungry, amoral gangsters that stay in power by compromising other elected officials. You will NEVER convince me that "the powers that be" didnt have"dirt" on John Roberts for his Obamacare ruling or any of the Republican votes against repeal/replace. Short of an armed revolt by we the people, nothing will change. I have ZERO faith in our corrupt government or the various agencies. We point fingers at 3rd world, Banana Republic corruption. Epstein isn't going to walk anytime soon. Berman has said he will seek no bail. If there is additional evidence that Epstein is a threat to the public (a resumption of his previous activities that are under grand jury review) plus he's flight risk, he won't make bail.

I don't expect this indictment against him to be the only one.

I actually did go back and look at those posts, and they have been thoroughly debunked as misleading and sometimes just flat wrong. That being said, I'll apologize for calling you a crackpot. People are entitled to believe whatever they want.

Epstein is a nobody compared to the people that used his services. JE crimes are heinous and he should go to jail... forever; if not executed (if only that were an option). I am too jaded and have no faith in our justice department to prosecute any powerful democrat politician.

Fine. I'm sorry to insinuate such a thing. It is horrible, and I shouldn't have done it.

I'm passionate about it because back in 2015 when the Podesta emails came out I saw his Instagram with my own eyes. Pics of little children like that 3 year old girl taped to a table. FBI recognized pedo terminology all over the place. The guy was promoting a band on his Facebook page that literally sang songs about abusing children sexually complete with a music video featuring a pedo symbol clearly displayed on the base drum.

It left a mark. Again, I sincerely apologize.

I'm currently dealing with this on a personal level. A close friend of ours was married to an animal (I refuse to call him a man) who was (allegedly) sexually abusing his daughter and possibly his son. I hung out with this person on several occasions, and it sickens me to think I ever associated with this individual.

Plus they have his phone and computer and can easily get a Article III search warrant for the content, unless it is all encrypted.

One of Epstein's supposed buddies was Prince Andrew, BTW. Wouldn't be surprised if Richard Branson was mixed up in that somehow, as well. The guy flew in some very rarified air.
