Daria played well today! I love that Tati is coaching her. Daria has all American potential if she can learn how to put away opponents. Today her opponent was a poor sport, luckily Daria learned to laugh at it rather than let it get to her head(UGA)! #growth

Stanford lost very close to UGA at indoors and has gone 21-0 since indoors.

I think they are stronger at the bottom of the lineup and would beat Georgia outdoors. But we will see!

I also think UCLA is waaaaaaay underseeded. Their lines 5 and 6 are probably some of the toughest I've seen.

Unusual team. Talented but some head scratchers like a 4-0 loss to Washington just a few weeks ago.

Stanford's schedule reminds me of us last year. Got behind in the rankings due to the ITA indoors and could never catch up. They are on a roll.

They are good; I watched a lot of their match; I don't think they have any powerhouse singles players (top 2 lines are great but have had some mixed results) but they are solid lines 1-6. Oklahoma State took them to the edge, though, with 5 of 6 matches going 3 sets.

Does anyone know why we always schedule the matches earlier in day ? I think Friday it is at 2:00, of course I don't get off from work until 5:30. Is it set by the NCAA ?

Good question.

It doesn't make any sense to move the Sweet 16 from the final site back to campus, purportedly in order to get better attendance… & then schedule matches at a time when hardly anyone can go.

baseball vs Alabama at 6pm

I'm sure the ncaa picks the dates and times just like any other sport. This is the NCAA tournament in which Texas A&M is simply the host site and do so as they are told by the NCAA.

They still have not come up for a cure for stupid. But this Friday will be a madhouse. Be reminiscent to several years ago when Baylor hosted. EVERYTHING is right there and traffic and parking will be a witch with a capital B or put another way, a female mother dog. The kids they have collecting the parking fee better be given some authority on maintaining parking for the match.
