Hopefully it was just cautiousness after playing quite a few matches in a short time. Good news is that we should be able to handle Missouri and Arkansas pretty easily outdoors should she need a breather this week.

While we all know the ITA computer forumla of (CountWinPts) / (#OfCountMatches + LossPts) is specifically designed to be biased against our aggies, they use statistics from the fall all year long.

I could go on for 2 pages about how dumb the singles/doubles algorithm is. No formula is perfect, but it's such an incredibly easy fix (assign individual values to all athletes rather than just the top 5% and count all results and not just the top 10) to make it far more accurate and the ITA just won't spend the minimum effort it would take to do it.

A silly little look ahead at arKansas razorbacKs:

The pigs come into College Station as the most geographically diverse roster we have faced this year. They've got Carolina from Spain, Indianna from England, Claire from Kingwood, Kelly Keller from California and of course Coach Cristina Sanchez-Quintanar from College Station (previously Campo de Criptana).

It took until conference time to really figure it out but here is the projected lineup:

  • Carson and Mia battling nagging injuries but didn't sound like anything that would keep them out for extended periods.
  • Three great doubles teams, but need to be more focused and execute better. If we win the doubles - hard for another team to win four singles. Especially outdoors.
  • Mark is very confident with the team. Chip on our shoulder from last year. We have the team and experience to win it all. SEC and NCAAs.
