Mary told me she is fine and will play on Friday. I think Mark has so many good players that he is simply rotating the lineup.

With that said, I think we walk through next weekend as well. Do not think Florida is near as strong.

I am guessing the same lineup. I think Salma is a team player and is good winning every match at 3. Jayci won't lose many if at all at 4, and I could even see her and Mia flipping at some point.

Very solid! She clearly over powered her opponent. I want to see her and Mia against real competition. Mia reminds me a lot of Tati. Like a fine mix between Tati and Mary

About a 1 in 10000 chance that even the best college players will "make a lot of money" playing pro, and even if they do most of them will tell you that there was nothing better in tennis than being a scholarship athlete at a P5 school.

Winning a match or two at a slam is not gonna pay the bills for long when you're traveling the circuit. It also won't get her into the big tournaments yet. She would need to grind it out on the 25-50k tournaments for a while to get points to get into qualifying. Not a glamorous life.

She's ranked in or near the top 100 in the world. You can make a nice living. Given she's so young, I bet sponsorships will be opportune! If she was rankings 150 or lower, sure. It would make sense to go to college

I understand what you are saying but don't think it applies here.

She made more than $100K this tournament. She is now #89 in the world which automatically qualifies her for the other three grand slams. That is $100K+ each. Not to mention every other tournament she qualifies for plus sponsorships.

Peyton Stearns from Texas went pro, is outside the top 200 and not close to the level of this NC State Freshman.

Can she make it? Uh, yes. She's very very good and a lefty at that. She just took the number 6 player in the world deep into the 3rd set. She's the real deal and unless NCState is paying her more in NIL money than she can make on the tour, it's a no brainer. She will be turning pro.

A newcomer that I was very impressed with today that perhaps we should be talking about more is Daria Smetannikov. She has really powerful groundstrokes. They jump out at you even when you are trying to watch 6 matches at once.
