Gringo's - South College Station
I hope it goes through. It would be nice to have a good Tex-Mex option in South College Station. Most of the places in B/CS are pretty overrated anyway.

Just what we needed: another "craft burger" place...and open 24 hours. I can hardly contain my excitement.Quote:

I tried it as well. Thought it was very good.Doink the Clown said:
I tried Honolulu Poke House last night for dinner and really enjoyed it. I know they've been open for a few months, but just thought I'd share in case anybody has been considering going there.
I'll gladly take it over the local options here.Fonzie Scheme said:

Will have to agree to disagree there. Casa Rod is the most overrated Tex-Mex in BCS.LastHamlet said:
Casa Rod > Gringos
That's fair, but what's your go to Tex-Mex in BCS? I only eat one thing at Casa Rod and that's the El Memo and I like the tacos. Didn't like the fajitas.Gigem314 said:Will have to agree to disagree there. Casa Rod is the most overrated Tex-Mex in BCS.LastHamlet said:

Fairly certain it's Stella Southern Cafe.phatpat21 said:
What's going in just south of American Momentum Bank on the feeder road, just past graham rd?
That would be Hideaway Humidor - it is owned by Colton (same guy that owns Cavalier). Nice selection, he tries to keep a few things there that aren't at Cavalier and vice versa.RedBeardDude said:
Anybody been to the new cigar shop next to Taco Casa on Greens Prairie?? I can't remember the name of it.
I called last night and they said they will be open Monday for the National Championship game.KidDoc said:Angry Elephant.phatpat21 said:
what is new place where carps bar was originally going to be? Next to taco casa I drove by earlier but couldn't tell what it was

I like Gringo's. They're not my favorite, but compared to the options in BCS I think they'll be much welcomed. Though I admit I'm spoiled from having lived in Houston.jja79 said:
People like different things. I assume you've been to Gringo's by your comment. I think it's aptly named.
Yole's, La Carreta, Mi Pueblita, El Sol de Mexico, Jesse's, Cilantro, El Tio and Raspas just off the top of my head are better.
I'm sure Gringo's will clean up.

He would KILL on our side of town! (Mostly because I'd go there and never leave.)Heismenberg said:
Jesse's is awesome for breakfast and lunch. Wish he would open a storefront in Tower Point.
