Apologies for the confusion. I would imagine they will go multi-family/student house with that location. It's a great property, who is the developer?
The BWD location on NG was cool and had a neat set up but the service was always painfully slow.

I saw that the Jesse's sign was up at their soon to be second location on VM. I hope it does really well but adding locations is often pretty hard on a restaurant.

It's next to Walgreen's where RadioShack used to be.
Dat Dog's location is the Domain at Northgate (corner of Wellborn and Church).

Got lunch at Downtown Elxir and saw the sign for 5 Knocks which also said there was a $5 cover. I'll probably stop by at some point either way but curious to know if the bar is any different downstairs or you're just paying to get away/keep the riff raff out.

Went last night, and the space is cool...very cool, and a very different vibe than upstairs.

A bit of old news, but I noticed last time I was in town, Sevcik's near Walmart is no longer associated with Shell. I have no idea if it was to be self-branded or becoming a new gas station brand.
KBTX reported at noon today that parking fees are BACK at Century Square starting this weekend when the parking garage opens. Deatails on the station's web ste.

Site plans submitted to CS for the development of the Shops at University Town Center. It contains ten lots (one large 6.4 acre and nine .125 acre lots). The smaller nine lots appear to be along Lincoln, between Ashburn and Munson with the larger lot taking up the rest of the space between Lincoln and the parking area behind Razoos, etc. No indication of what, if any, tenants are lined up for this development.

Don't those types of movie theaters typically have cheaper tickets and make their money off food? Because the other theaters in town are still cheaper than that. I guess trying to make money off of on campus students

It's still cheaper than it is in Houston or Austin for a similar movie theater. This kind of theater is generally more expensive, not less. Austin for today with a regular movie (not 3D) is $11.75/ticket plus your fees if you buy online. Same cost in Houston as well. They are probably aware that people here will not pay as much for movies as the bigger markets and have set their prices accordingly. We don't go to movies anywhere but here because of the sticker shock. LOL!
Those prices are less than their other locations (or at least the ones I checked). Smart on their part.

Worth it to not deal with a theatre full of freshmen to me
I think they're going to test the limits of peoples willingness. All on university provided land...lol.

No doubt. Makes one wonder just how much basis they have in with the public/private partnership. Maybe the atypical formula provides for possible ROI that allows for some gambling....
But does any of that pass down to the tenants?
