Isn't she a friend of Wanda in the comics? Like, her actual comic character isn't that of a villain, correct?

How has Dr. Strange not been attracted yet to what is going on just across the way in New Jersey?

All sorts of magics and stuff going down. Shouldn't the "Sorcerer Supreme" want to check things out? I mean, he was pretty quick to question Thor and Loki when they visited earth in Ragnarok.

He upgraded to HDTV a while back, so he has only been able to get one episode so far...

Isn't it possible that new Pietro isn't actually Pietro and is some new supervillain (like Mephisto) posing as him? That would solve the issue of having to introduce a new antagonist at the last minute and also explains why he doesn't really show any depth of knowledge about Wanda's background and also looks completely different and has no accent.

I mentioned that earlier, but I don't think so anymore because of the scene showing Agatha in control of him. Still possible I guess

I watched a Youtube video about her a while back. She was a caretaker for Franklin Richards at first and was a teacher to Wanda. I guess she doesn't fit the bill. But the MCU doesn't;t have to play by the comics.

Why do a big song number to basically say just kidding an episode later. Either way, its cool. I guess I just don;t get why everyone is dead set on it being Mephisto.
I'm not dead set on Mephisto, but I'm pretty confident the real antagonist here has yet to be revealed. I just don't think we are done with reveals with 1.5 - 2 hrs of programming left.

Who's been messing up everything? It was Agatha all along!
Who's been pulling every evil string? It was Agatha all along!

Seriously, they flat out told us. Not to mention she has some creepy ass dungeon in her basement and what appears to be an evil looking magic book. (By the way, did anyone get a good look at what was in that cabinet that Wanda looked at when first going in there?)

The only question is what is Agatha's motivation? She has been messing with Vision since at least episode 3, (two if you count the reveal during the magic show). Was that all just a way to get him away from Wanda?

Yes they told us she is messing things up and pulling strings inside the hex but you answered your own question with a question "what is agatha's motivation" and most are saying it's another "bigger" villain.

I'll repeat what I kind of danced around earlier... I still think Agnes was sent to Westview by whoever the big bad is, with the sole mission of helping manipulate Wanda into creating a world that results in the twins. Agnes' job now is to deliver the twins to said big bad, and that's what the final fight/battle will be over.

Because the Sorcerer Supreme was also snapped and gone 5 years, and only back for 3 weeks as well. I am sure a lot of metaphysical **** hit the fan during that time and he is out cleaning up magical messes.

I think it's possible he's possessed by the big bad (probably just Agatha though), but we've seen him use his speed. Don't see how a doppelganger could pull that off.

So we didn't necessarily see what really happened, we only saw what Agatha showed Wanda. The only things we know are 100% real are shown in MCU widescreen (also this just occurred to me but did they steal the aspect change from westworld? )

So Agatha might still be tricking Wanda for undisclosed purposes. If they don't want her to be a villain, she could be using this all as a setup to get the unstable superpowered Wanda to do something good.

Interesting idea , but I am going to disagree. that would be too much of a cheat.

My take is everything we have seen is "real", in that it actually occurred regardless of whether Wanda or Agatha was in control.

We just may not know all of the story (e.g. those scenes when Agatha was purple-magicking everyone behind the scenes). The how or why.

I bas this on everyone in the hex is still aware of their surroundings (as demonstrated by "Stop It" and crying lady and Asian guy at Vision's office and Herb). They just cannot or are too scared to break out of it.

I guess I was more thinking that the Agatha all Along bit at the end was Wanda watching TV just like the Sword agents were. And we know that they only got the edited broadcast.

So Agatha makes it seem like she's been destroying Wanda perfect word to get Wanda to react (sort of a ultron call back to what Wanda did to the avengers). But we don't know if she's provoking Wanda for her own evil purposes, or at the behest of the real big bad, or even maybe to help Wanda break free.

Honestly anything other than Agatha being the bad guy now seems a little convoluted, but I can't shake the idea that the MCU isn't going to take a grey character and make them and actual bad guy.

I'm seeing a lot of speculation that the big bad could be Forbush Man, who is himself secretly controlled by Fred Hembeck.

i just had a thought (may have already been discussed above and I just forgot it and "remembered" it thinking it is new but...).

We already know at least for now it will be Monica and Wanda vs Agatha
but we also have the color of their power signatures/symbolism:

Red (Wanda) + Blue (Monica) = Purple (Agatha)

Just listened to fatman podcast with kevin Smith. He said marvel has already established using minor villains as the antagonist of a film while the Big Bad manipulates the show's antagonist.

The obvious example is Kaicilius and Dormammu. But you also have Loki and Thanos (avengers 1), Ronan and thanos (gotg), and to a lesser extent jude law and the Supreme Intelligence (captain marvel).

With the exception of Dormammu, the confrontation with the big bad has a multi film arc, or a potential multi film arc.

Yea, I've been on this train for a little bit. The main antagonist in this series (Agatha) will be resolved by the series end, but open a door to a big-bad with a multi-film/series arc.

Now, Agatha could be resolved in a number of ways - like Loki she could become a regular good/bad guy, or this could be her end. We'll see.

I don't know... the fact that Agatha confesses and diabolically laughs at being a dog-killer makes her the "big bad" in my book and not a morally grey character like Loki.

Infinity War started off with a giant hole getting blasted through the Sanctum Sanctorum's roof.

5 years of rain, snow, birds, and other critters having access is surely going to make a mess.

Plus looters, there's someone in NYC using the Cauldron of The Cosmos to cook a stew in their apartment. Doctor Strange has gotta track all that down.

Loki killed a bunch of people. Like so many that he could never go back to earth. I know people love dogs and all, but we aren't there yet.

Loki killed or had killed 100s to 1000s of people; some in the service of Thanos some because he too is diabolical.... and yet he gets his on tv show....

Thor : Have a care how you speak! Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard and he is my brother!
Natasha Romanoff : He killed eighty people in two days.
Thor : He's adopted.

We haven't even seen the backstory on Agatha besides a "tongue in cheek" song.

Her character can still go in a number of different ways based on this Friday's episode.

I've talked about this before, but the main reason I still think there's something else is because of the show thing itself.

This gets kind of meta and hurts your head if you think about it too much, but at least some of the characters in the hex are aware that they're in a show. The specifically mentioned at one point Wanda controlling what makes the broadcast (she was cutting out the drone), and we've seen Agatha/Agnes and Herb like "break character." The Herb one is the more interesting considering what we know about Agatha (but during Halloween he asked her if she wanted to change anything.)

So, to me, the broadcast is maybe meant for someone outside the Hex to be watching.
