One thing was kinda dumb to me.

When she was talking to the local cops who say Westview doesn't exist, how was the first thing out of her mouth not -- "Do you not see the big ass sign for Westview right next to you?"

I think it's interesting in the upcoming Halloween episode we saw in the trailers, Agnes tells vision that he's dead.... and we see him as the dead body we know him to be... That freaked the **** outta me, but I loved it

What?

LITERALLY in the first trailer the released 4 months ago.... hope you aren't acting like I'm spoiling stuff. I'm just trying to put the puzzle together.

This is a discussion thread. Says so in the title. Anything officially released is fair game for discussion.

There something more with Agnes (Kathryn Hahn) than the others. I think she was the only who didn't get ID'd. I'm guessing she's the villain and this isn't all Wanda's doing.

I think she is serving the true villain. Her missing husband "Ralph" is going to be the guy. You can look up spoilers online if you want to know who people think that is.

Ralph as the missing person and Agnes as the villain? I could get behind that.
(Or maybe I have that backwards)

I feel like there's going to be more to that missing person angle.

If I want to build on my "It's hydra!" Theory, there could be a former hydra guy in witness protection. Or a former AIM / hydra guy.

I also wonder if we might have multiple villains. Like one party that made Wanda create this reality, and another party that's corrupting or steering it.

Or Wanda's just going nuts! That would be fun, too.
Thanks and gig'em

Is it not surprising that they did not contact Fury immediately given it involves one of the Avengers?

Since this is set 3 weeks after Endgame, but 7 months before Far From Home, Fury would still be on Earth at the time.

I think the chain of command post-Endgame is pretty wonky. "An Avenger is in trouble, let's call Captain Am-... wait. Tony Sta-... wait. Black Widow? Nope..." Hawkeye is retired somewhere off the grid. Banner would make sense but it may not be his field per se. I guess they had a bunch of specialists so he's be worth a call.

Fury makes sense but he's also 5 years behind on everything and may already be back in space. (We'll see what he and the Skrulls are up to eventually.). I guess SWORD and the guy that's been in charge for a few years is the best bet.

My theory is still supernatural villain of some type. This is Wanda's doing but under someone else's suggestion IMO.

No, Ralph as the main villain. "Devil in the details"

this is set before Fury went to space at the end of FFH (8 months later).. just 2 weeks after the funeral scene in Endgame, so he is likely still around.
still, there is Rhodey and Falcon as well.

We'll get either Fury or another Avenger this season. Book it.

He went to space any time between Endgame funeral and FFH. The real Fury doesn't appear in FFH until the postcredits.

It's beyond obvious that they can't see it. They actually talk about why the police are unaware of Westview.

The sword folks flew a drone into west view. Not the helicopterthey flew a regular quad drone. Wonder if that showed up in wandas world.

I'm sure it's been discussed already, but I was surprised we didn't see the beekeeper tossed out and recovered.

It's well outside of the radius of the energy field, not to mention she has no idea yet that they can't see it. (If that is the case.)

They think it converted to the helicopter to match the 50's scenario.

Edit: Oh, you mean after the one that Monica sent in? I guess there are a ton of random drones in Westview at this point, lol

Rewatch it. It's obvious the officers are unaware of Westview. Monica and Woo speculated that anyone personally connected to the town had some kind of block.

Have we seen the Beekeeper's face? Seems like it's been intentionally dark, perhaps...

I'm not saying they could see it. I'm saying it's dumb she didn't even ask them.

I agree, I was thinking the same thing. Just a quick "You don't see that sign that says Westview" and "What sign?" would have appeased me there.

She gives an obvious look towards the sign. That was enough for me, personally.

Most likely Agnes is Agatha Harkness, Wanda's mentor witch from he comics. The way Agnes talks, there sure seems evidence she knows more than she leading on. Now in the comic stories they seem to be taking a lot this from, Mephisto is the main villain. He is a demon in the comics. Is Ralph Mephisto? Is there a Ralph even? And is Mephisto behind this all? Will the MCU go with demons or something more plausible to our World?

He looks menacing, imo, b/c we are seeing him through Wanda's eyes. He's just a SWORD agent.

I disagree. You don't know what is wrong with these guys. The last thing I want to do with two guys who may have some mental issue is try to shock them out of it with something that could freak them out. I think the questions were perfect. Her goal isn't to convince them Westview exists. Her goal is to understand why they think Westview doesn't exist.

Definitely loved the Blip scene. So glad we got to see something like that, and took me a second to understand what was going on.

I am having an issue with Wanda's powers. As a fantasy and sci fi fan, I can generally accept the fantastical and try to look at it within the confines of the story. Wanda got her powers from the Mind stone. So I can accept her moving objects with her mind or causing people to see illusions. However, how is she able to change one thing into something else. Specifically, the cable attached to the agent in the sewer turning into a jump rope on the outside of the "bubble". If she can do that, then Mind stone can do that. If the Mind stone can change reality, then what is the purpose of the Reality Stone?

Don't think so.

And we don't know at this point if she's really physically changing things or manipulating perceptions of those within her range. But we're 4 episodes into a 9 episode season.

There are no 6's on the clocks and a hexagon (shape of the town shield) has 6 sides.

"Ralph looks better in the dark."

"The devil's in the details."

They talked about how Strucker used the mind stone via Loki's Scepter to experiment on Wanda and her brother, turning them into what we see them as in Age of Ultron.
