Laughed out loud in my cubicle so loud my boss came and asked if I was okay. Showed him the thread and he laughed as well.

You better crawl under the cabin and check. HTHYesterday said:
Went spotlighting at our ranch Saturday night. As we got back to the cabin my 7 year old said "snake!" I was looking for a grass snake or something but spotted a rattle snake curled under our first step leading up to the cabin.
It just sat there curled up, didn't rattle, didn't move. Not sure if sleeping but doubt it as we were loud and had a light on it. Couldn't let it live/hangout at the cabin with kids around. Hit it as best I could without hitting the cabin with the 12 gauge. Was an exciting ending to the night.
What are the odds there are more under that cabin? First one I've seen even when I was under the cabin leveling it back in April.
That's probably the only one. On the other hand...Yesterday said:

The probable real truth is that people are more apt to encounter a smaller snake because there are usually more of them at specific times during the year.agcrock2005 said:
Snake experts, is the part about controlling venom true?
Hmm, I've heard the same thing over the years as well but doesn't suprise me that that is a myth. With that being said, how much damage are we talking here if I try to pick the cute little fella up?12f Mane said:
No, there's no truth to it.

I haven't been tagged yet, but I've been told by several friends that have that the worst part is the hospital bill.
