Microfracture knee often never gets right. For starters, it's a crapshoot that it's going to fill in properly to begin with. Second, your best case is that you're left with some pseudo-cartilage that doesn't tend to hold up all that well over the long haul.

Sounds like Jack either had microfracture or needs it. I wouldn't go near him in the 1st.

He may need it. He could also play 12 years and never need it. Similar to Leary.

Yeah, they say he'll need it in 3 years. Pretty sure nobody has had micro fracture surgery in the nfl and been successful. It's a death sentence.

Dan Marino, Rod Woodson?

Indy offense then not much different in what they want from RB than many teams today

Last time I saw tears like that on draft day it was from Michael Sams...

So many great defensive players left on the board. This draft is shaping up perfectly for the Boys.

We have 18 more minutes to whine and complain. Then we have to suck it up and hope Elliott rushes for 2,000 TDs and 20 TDs.

Henry is tempting, but you have to start addressing needs.

Spence, Alexander....

Lotsa good players left and I think their is good value at the top of the 3rd as well.

Regardless of how you feel about #1... Our 2nd rounder couldn't have been set up better. So many key players on D still there. Ragland is a beast and DT and DE a plenty.

I know... Who wants to take another risk ... But Noah Spence might be the best pass rusher I the draft. And he's apparently been clean for 2 years.

Whatever... Lots of D options... So much win.

Key stat that I didn't know... Dallas only had 8 rushing TDs last year... And 4 were from Randal!

I said with confidence that RB was a bigger need than most realized, but even I didn't realize it was that bad.

To be fair, the team didn't score many touchdowns at all. Numbers were down across the board. That has more to do with Romo & Bryant being out than anything else.

I was hoping we'd get Bosa, but I am now very happy the Boys took Zeke. It reminds me of when the Broncos got Terrell Davis to finally get Elway over the hump. Hopefully, Zeke can live up to expectations and help Romo get the Trophy.

An analyst on SVP just said Zeke was the best blocking RB he's EVER evaluated. This isn't just about yards, it's about the whole scheme. The reality is he's a perfect fit and pretty much every other option had questions. Even Ramsey is a bit of a project.

I saw that. They also said we were smart not moving down because many teams had Zeke as a guy they would move up to get.

Impossible to say what might have happened, but it's nice knowing there are others that love the pick!

Again, it's a matter of value. He will have to be the best RB in football every year for the next 4-5 years and get a second contract to be worth that pick. Nobody is arguing that Elliott isn't good. It's just that he's not that transformative back that you typically see go at #4. We haven't seen that kind of back since Peterson. Most analysts don't even believe that he's as good as Gurley. You might see one next year in McCaffrey, who is probably the most amazing athletic specimen out of the backfield since AP. If Elliott had waited one more year, he'd likely be late 1st-early 2nd behind Dalvin Cook and McCaffrey.

In the presser they just said the one team offering a trade was moving up to get Zeke and Dallas said no. Rumor has it that team was Baltimore (who has a very well respected GM).

If they had done that they would have lost Zeke and Ramsey. I can't fault them. Nice job!

If Elliott is all pro over the next 4 years & helps Cowboys compete for super bowl, he was worth the pick. Complaining about not resigning someone that won't be a free agent until 2021 is a tad premature.

No sweat, especially since I didn't predict anything, but McCaffrey had one of the more unbelievable seasons ever for an RB and was clearly the best back in the country. He'll have to do it again or it's all for naught. He reminds me of Marshall Faulk.

Another thing to note is that McCaffrey did that against 8-10 man fronts in a pro-style offense where teams were keying his every move. He didn't have the advantage being able to do it out of the spread or run/pass options.

Any back that can put up between 2,600-3,000 total offensive yards in a season against major competition will raise some eyebrows. Once is nice. If he does it again, there's a pattern. At the very least, he's the Heisman front runner. At best, he's the kind of hybrid receiver/running back/returner that the NFL goes crazy for in this day and age.

That he kind of comes from a crazy athletic sports bloodline won't hurt him, either.

Anybody calling this pick stupid and not addressing a need is full of it. Zeke is a VERY talented, big, patient runner who will fit in with this Cowboys running game. And if we can pick up Jack in the 2nd, we're in business. These talking heads crack me up.

Don't mean to derail but could he do that in the sec? Not sure about pac 12 defenses. I didn't really watch him play much. Whatever happened to white rb from Stanford that went in 1st round recently. Can't remember name. He was heisman candidate.

Toby Gerhart is the opposite of McCaffrey. McCaffrey is fast, agile, and bad to the bone. Toby was a ground and pounder like Mike Alstott.

Whatever it's the next day, I won't complain anymore about how upset I am about EE. But jerry is a cockhead...

Now, let's go EE! You better ****in carry us to the SB...

2nd Round: If Reed is there they better ****ing draft him.

Reports that they tried to trade up for Lynch make me sick that we may go after Conner Cook in the 2nd. I'm not a Cook hater, but we MUST get a defensive lineman here.

Tony was practically a fullback, straight line runner. Wonderful back, but more like a poor man's Derrick Henry.
