No offense taken. Honestly, what is dumb about asking former and current students what logo they support? Especially when it comes to spending their money on Aggie gear. I feel that money is left on the table when people cannot find what they want to buy. I refuse to buy anything that has a bevel on it. I have found clothing that I would have purchased if it had the correct logo on it. It just turns me off when TAMU refuses to market gear with the correct solid block T on it.

Texags audience isn't a great representation of our fan base IMO. I'm just saying that revenue is at an all time high. Yes I know there are a lot of factors, but we all know nothing is gonna change. Most people I know and most of our casual former student base don't really care and neither do I. It is more modern and I like it. Even though it is disproportional, I still like it better than tceh's proportional one.

I buy everything I can get my hands on with a bevel and so does every aggie I know.

That's the stupidest argument I have ever heard supporting the bevel.

The bevel sucks. I don't really care that much anymore. The bevel is kind of like a microcosm of the state of TAMU right now. Can't get out of our own way.

I guess at least we have a good football team. Right?

Meh kinda slow right now so I figured I'd see if I could get into a useless, petty argument about the bevel.

Apparently you succeeded.

But I haven't written the perfect bevel argument because I didn't receive anything at all about info from old main, or a blank stare from J Cook, or gettin drunk.

Mag, I am in the very staunch anti-bevel crowd. I guess I just really don't understand why people are in support of it. I understand the apathy of, it is what it is, but there are Ags out there who outright hate it, myself included. It could be attributed to the fact that I have an engineering degree from our fine university, and know that it looks absurd, but its mostly from the fact that, when you look at the Block ATM on our football helmet, what is wrong with that? Absolutely nothing. There is not one single thing anyone can look at that and say, no I dont like this, I dont like that. But you throw a bevel on and all the sudden its almost like a democrat v. republican argument. I have not met a single Ag, who given the choice, prefers bevel to non-bevel. Some may be apathetic, and I understand that, but the vocal minority who don't like it at all, I guess we just don't understand why anyone would prefer it, given the alternative. A great university like A&M deserves better than that trash, and I wish that we had a forum, other than TexAgs, to make that point. This is basically the only outlet where, hell, almost 50,000 people have at least seen this thread, and probably have one view or another, but this is an issue that should at least be addressed and talked about. That's all I'm saying. Old Main made a great argument and people seemed to have just blown off all that he did. I don't think thats right, and I think its something that is worth addressing.

It really is an honest question at this point. Do this many people actually like that piece of horror or is everyone just bored out of their minds and trolling. Because that is what this whole thread feels like. People are trying to make defend with reasons why they feel like they do and the responses look like chimps at a keyboard sometimes.

The people you are referring to on here either don't care and know it won't be changed or they are in support of it. The majority of Ags everywhere do not have a view and do not dislike either.

The bevel needs to go. We will never get a top 5 recruiting class with it.

Hate to burst your bubble, but I've been keeping a running tally on pro and con bevel comments on texags. So far, 336 posters oppose the bevel, 96 support. I have the names to prove it. That's 77% of posters who oppose the bevel, which is consistent with on-line polls.
