So if you bought gear anyway, the school didnt lose money, and you supported a wider variety of merch. Boy the school really is losing out on this deal.
I am impressed that Staff has not allowed some to pressure them or trick them into killing a thread. Now...let's keep a meaningful dialogue on this thread. If some people don't want to talk about the bevel or sans bevel, they can read another thread...nobody is forcing them to read this thread. I for one, have determined that I am going to start being nicer to people on TexAgs, but will refuse to be steamrolled by bullies. I will forever more make an effort to not personally insult another Aggie. Now if they are sip or a tard, all is fair.

Jason mentioned on TexAgs Radio today that there was a huge surge in sales of replica A&M helmets over the last year.
This is obviously caused by those looking to buy items with the traditional logo, they turn to the helmet because its main logo is bevel free.

Why are some people so concerned with getting this thread locked or banned? If they don't want to read it, then they can read another thread. Every time they make a post complaining about the thread, it moves the thread back to the top, so they are, in effect, supporting the thread. Also, ever time I respond to their comments, it bumps the thread back to the top.
In a free market economy, if people don't like a product, they won't buy it. Using the same logic, if someone does not like this thread, they should stop posting on it. If the thread truly needs to die, it will die a natural death due to apathy. Obviously, this is a sensitive subject for a lot of Ags, and I think it will be for the next 100 years until the bevel is abolished or at least "fixed". Personally, abolishing it makes more sense to me.

Any time I choose not to buy something because it has the bevel on it, the university does not necessarily "lose money", but they do lose the sale and my money.
FTR, I have a lot of stuff from when I was in school that is bevel free, so don't assume that I'm out there just buying up stuff that is bevel-free. I live a long, long way from Texas, and A&M gear is not readily available here. When it is, it usually has the damned bevel on it, so I pass.

Most of them don't really like or prefer the bevel per se, they just enjoy trying to rile up the OP and everyone else on here that doesn't like the bevel. I find it hilarious now that this thread is 33 pages long, they are the ones who are riled up because of it's staying power. They can't stand that this is still going and everyone still hates the bevel!
