I knew Old Main while we were both students at A&M.
He's as solid of an Aggie that I ever knew at A&M and a cool guy to boot. I have nothing but respect for him.
I think he is spot on about getting rid of the bevel, but regardless of that, he's a good Ag.

Old Main is a good Ag who has provided a great deal of entertainment over the years, intentional and otherwise. But the immediacy of online communications can cause some to overestimate the importance of their own thoughts. Some will imagine they are communicating directly with the president or BMA's.
The reality is that it's more like a bar. Sure, there might be an important person sitting a couple tables away who overhears your conversation. And they might be leaning over a little to hear what you have to say. But most likely they're just trying to get a better view of the waitress's ass.

This publication was sent out to every incoming freshman in the Class of '17 last week. The LEVEL the BEVEL ad is on Page 12 of the Maroon Weekly Freshman Guide linked below.
I heard there about 12,000 incoming freshmen, but I'm not sure how accurate that figure is.

That figure is accurate. I didn't read the maroon weekly nor the email that sent it to me.
I'm sure that was received with a collective "What?" and the turn of a page. Literally, not figuratively.
At least it was on Page 12.

The 12,000 isn't accurate. They've been hovering around 8,000 for awhile now. Maybe there were 12,000 accepted, but not that many will enroll. Even with the 25 by 25 engineering initiative there would only be 9000 tops.

I read an article in the eagle that said more freshman accepted (9700) than were expected (8700) based on their statistical data.
Outstanding ad Old Main!
That ad looks like it was made by someone who has no business having any input in graphic design decisions.
That ad is awful. Shows how savvy Old Main is when it comes to branding and PR.
