How long do you want to ignore this user?
This is a pretty good example of how silly or current half bevel looks, especially when applied to other letters.
This thread is embarrassing. The fact that staff has let it fly this long is also embarrassing.

I don't consider our primary logo, the symbol of our University nationally and internationally, to be insignificant.
In 1999 Nike gave A&M Marketing some ideas for futures logos. There were 8 logos, including the T-Star, which has already been discontinued. I think that Nike was trying to give A&M Marketing an example of what a 3-D beveled logo might look like. I don't think that Nike intended for A&M to use the logo as the primary mark for the next 15+ years.

My bet would be A&M marketing approved a proper logo but a manufacturing error led to the semi-beveled ball
The A and M aren't even lined up properly under the serifs. My bet is that A&M Marketing wasn't on top of branding control - and this isn't the first time.

That half beveled football is a compromise for each side.
Too all you who are "pro-bevel", look what you have created. Look at the monster, it's spreading. It started with the basketball uniforms, but that wasn't enough for you. Now you've ruined baseball as well. Look at it, and honestly say, yeah, I like that, that's a great look for us!

Please use the Association of Former Students, the 12th Man Foundation, and the Presidents office. With these three arms you can contact all former and current students. Ask them what logo they support and would buy on their Aggie gear: the Solid Block T or the beveled crap. Ask them what phrase they would support and would buy on their gear: Texas Aggies or Texas A&M Aggies.
The solid block T and the phrase "Texas Aggies" would win easily. You know it and I know it. Market and sell what the results show.
This isn't changing anytime soon.
