If we are trying out different colored bevels, maybe look at white bevels on a white T and maroon bevels on a maroon T - these are the two best combinations.

Agreed, in the case of the basketball court, I think the bevel looks sharp.

I hate the current trend toward beveling. IMO, 9 out of 10 times it looks as though the designer was just grasping for a way to make a simple logo more interesting, when he/she probably should've just started over.
quote:
Really depends on the logo. I think the Stars and Astros new logos look much better beveled. Others don't look as good beveled, such as Texas A&M.

Logos that look good without beveling:
LAA Angels
Houston Astros
Oklahoma State (my Favorite)
Texas A&M

IMO, Texas A&M and maybe the Angels are the only ones of the group that look better unbeveled.
The Titans' identity is just a giant mess while I think the Jackets, Oklahoma State, and Astros use beveling well.

This thread has soooo many posts? Does it break a TexAgs record?

Keep fighting Old Main! Clearly, Jason Cook has created several socks to defend his bevel

There's really no "fighting". Old main doesn't even stand a chance. Cook doesn't listen to some crotchety wannabe that claims he got us into the SEC and renovated military walk with his bare hands.
